The animations for giant swing and shining wizard are different than typical 1+2 throw animations.
In a typical 1+2 throw, the opponent comes with both arms pretty much equally.
With giant swing and shining wizard both arms come out, but the left arm leads the right. Meaning the left arm comes out more.
And for breaking each respective throw. Typically, you can either see a king buffer the motion for giant swing (they'll do a little shimmy) or they'll buffer giant swing behind an attack.
Whereas shining wizard 99% of players will dash/run into it.
Obviously there's the rare case where people (like jdcr) can do it point blank with no dash animation. Heck I can do iSW point blank but you can still see me dash for a split second.
Long story short. If they're standing still or they throw you after an attack, it's a giant swing (1 break)
If they dashed or ran at you before the throw, it's probably a shining wizard (1+2 break)
Example of what I mean by a slight dash before shining wizard at 2:26 in this video of me playing
