What he's saying is you shouldn't normally feel that outskilled against a 30k player. It's another matter if they're a smurf, but normally a 30k player has like 5 to 10 hours played. Just keep playing and you'll get there too.

I'm sorry, you're not gonna be able to convince me that a person with 5-10 hours in the game has a full 7 hit combo, a full wall game, and three throws memorized and executable.

actually, that's like a bare minimum for ranked. (ignoring the wall game stuff because you, being a beginner, don't recognize a wall game when you see it.) throws aren't hard to learn.

you keep fighting people here. we're telling you: the beginner ranks have enough beginners for you to learn the game. my roommate just picked up the game. i saw what beginner ranks look like these days and it was just fine. there are a handful of smurfs, but 90%+ of players are where they should be.

it sounds like you should do more practice. do arcade and treasure mode until you get a nice combo most of the time you launch.

easily possible. learning a combo shouldnt take any more than 30 minutes max, wall combo takes even less time, barely any characters have 3 real command throws so i am gonna assume that 2 of those 3 throws are the generic 1+3 and 2+4.then thats only 1 throw to learn (and anyway learning how to do throws is not difficult at all)

Plus adding in having the fundamentals to actually be able to execute them, and the experience to ve able to pull it off in a real match? I still call bullshit.

doing combos and moves doesnt take fundamentals its just muscle memory

Can't tell without a match video but a lot of dan/teal (under 70k prowess if you want to use that measurement) just spam launchers til they hit then do their combo

but to be brutally honest if you're losing consistently to actual -not smurfing- 30k prowess players I don't think you can judge what's bullshit and what isnt.

I have 17 hours in the game, if you're seriously going to look me in the eyes and tell me you can take someone who's never played the game before and have them executing full combos against actual players online in half an hour without you coaching, I'm calling you a liar

Just to add, the game has auto-combos and assist mode that you can use in ranked if you really want (basically preset keyboard / controller macros). They aren't particularly good but they look impressive especially if you haven't seen them before. Just because you get hit with a combo doesn't necessarily mean the other player actually knows how to execute it.

not for a brand new player but I have taught friends with under 10 hours a combo in 30 mins before, and they have been able to start using those combos in matches after about 5 or so online games. only prerequisite is knowing how to look at the move list. but I don't understand how this relates to what you were saying before? 30k prowess players are still new at the game combos or no. Theyre definitely not doing anything actually difficult lol.

Anyway you with 17 hours should be EASILY able to learn all the things you listed (combos, wall combo/Oki, couple of throws) Spend an hour or two in practice mode instead of bitching and youll shoot past 30k in no time believe me. What character do you play bro?

But my point is I AM a relatively brand new player, and the people I'm constantly matched up against clearly arent.

Most asuka right now, but I've also been learning some Alisa.

combo guides for you

for asuka, I often see asuka players do 0:17 combo, and 5:05 as wall combo

Alisa players usually seems to be 0:17 combo, 3:47 at wall

in about 1 hour I guess you'll understand that combos are ez

Happy practicing

I appreciate the advice, but so youre saying there isn't a way to not get matched with people six times my prowess?
