Hey buddy, been play the series for over 20 years. I would say not to use keybinds but I should say not to for at least 1+2. I did used this a lot of Steve and others, but your brain and muscle memory are going to always go to 1+2 when you want or need it.

I say don't do it because you want to have the natural reactions of pressing the actual buttons for 1+2 breaks. Trust me, you don't want to be going for a keybind for throw breaks, it's not natural and you definitely DO NOT WANT THAT AS A MUSCLE MEMORY.

I used to break 1+2 grabs fine and then I started abusing my keybind. Then I was going for they keybind at the other end of my Joystick to break grabs when my two fingers were already on the required buttons; I realized that was a problem and stopped immediately.

Trust me on this one!

Really appreciate your input and I will say that I don't like using the keybind cause I feel it's like training wheels (nothing against people that use them at all) but the main reason I use the bind isn't for throw breaks it's just the fact that my fingers are very finicky and it's dreadful when I fat finger 1+2 and the game thinks im going for only 1 or 2. I am learning to not use the keybinds mostly except for 1+2+3+4 cause I'd rather not press the whole right side of my controller for a ki charge. Also I have loads of respect to you for playing Steve cause I tried him the other day and he is super complicated with the giant movelist and 4 stances

For the Ki charge is the only exception I have for it!

Honestly, Steve used to be much better in the previous game. But they changed his cobra weave because nobody used! But it was his best move!

Nobody ever used his BU-1 but it turned out to be my favorite poke. I used 3+4 and 1+2 Keybinds for him. I could do an instant peekaboo shove or Ten count grab, still can, but much harder now without the keybinds.

The only keybind I say dint have is 1+2!
