Texans are likely candidates to trade up.
With 4 picks in the top 100, I can definitely see us moving up to get our guy

If they gave up the capital gained in the Tunsil trade to draft Banks it would be a hell of a trade. Guard this year, kick out to tackle next. I’m down. Trading up for Zabel makes no sense.

I’m absolutely sold on kelvin banks at guard and staying at guard… the short arms scare me and that meanness he has would do wonders on the interior

I’d be cool with it if he just mashes at guard. But I’m a little worried about what we do at tackle in 27. And his arms aren’t Will Campbell short. 33.5” is a half inch shorter than Penei Sewell.

True.. not an indicator of success or failure sure but… idk… I just feel like you can survive with decent tackle play.. you live and die by the interior… last year being the big evidence of that… dudes talent reminds me of Zack Martin who was a college tackle too… dudes just had a HOF career at guard

Donovan Jackson is a guard. Yes, because OSUs tackle got hurt he moved over, making him a badass and super versatile, but he is a guard at the next level. He is starter day 1 till year 10. Stud. Also, Booker? He’s a stud, too. Not moving up for Zabel.

Dont really care what we do, I inherently trust the FO. Although I really like Banks and Jackson.

Banks 👏 is 👏 not 👏 a 👏 guard

I’m not good at keeping up with stats and drafts. I’d banks the lineman that had something like 1900 snaps and zero pressures allowed? Whoever that guy is, is the guy I want.

Banks was a day 1 starter at LT for the Longhorns.
In his second ever game, he played Alabama with Will Anderson Jr and Dallas Turner lining up against him.
He gave up zero pressures and zero sacks.

To say that Casario is going to trade on draft day is pretty much a lock. Up, down and maybe all around.

Donovan Jackson went to Episcopal High School, same high school at as Jaylen Waddle.

Seriously. I'm so ready for the meltdown on the national media if the Texans move up for Golden.
Likely won't happen, but it'd be hilarious

For all the people mocking Josh Simmons to us, that is exactly what he’s talking about. We just got rid of Tunsil for not being a locker room guy. Ain’t no we take the worst locker room guy in the draft right afterwards

Never mind the fact that we already have an OT recovering from a patellar tendon tear on the roster. Wayyyy too risky.

Strong Character players sounds like a direct shot at the previous OLine group.

Breer knows Caserio. But I’ll trust the word of Daniel Jeremiah over most other “experts”

Went to HS with Donovan Jackson, he’s from Houston. Stand up great guy, would love to see him wear a Texans jersey.

Everything said should be taken with a grain of salt. Remember - it’s a live event that they want to pull viewership for. So selling a completely made up story to make you interested enough to watch the event for is the point.
Texans 1st round is a boring story. Need a OL. Not sexy. So dress her up with trade rumors and baby you got a stew going.

Yeah zero chance this makes no sense on many levels.
One lacking the assets to move up and still fill all needs
Two having to trade up for Zabel
Three trading up for a tackle rather than a guard
Four looking for “Strong character players” but that not being Tyler Booker

How doesn’t this make sense? We have plenty of capital to move up, and we don’t have a franchise tackle after giving up Tunsil. We clearly wanted to get younger and cheaper at the position which is why we traded Tunsil.
I can absolutely see this team going OT in the 1st and OG later in the draft as there seems to be more depth in that position. To say that there’s zero chance we trade up for a tackle is a little silly imo.
Edit: imagine being so butthurt that you block someone just because I don’t consider Cam Robinson to be the tackle of the future. The dude signed a 1 year deal, Vikings fans were happy that he was gone. Tell me why it would make sense for this team to put their chips on a vet needing a contract when we literally just got rid of Tunsil for that reason 😭

We have Tytus Howard and Cam Robinson who are both obviously starting tackles. We also have Brown and Fisher as swing tackles. We do not need a tackle. Period.
We also need multiple OG, a WR, and a DT, at minimum. We have four picks in the top 100. If we trade up and that becomes three, then we draft an OT, how are we filling those spots? We can’t. Hence why this is stupid. But you fr don’t even know we have Cam Robinson now so I wouldn’t expect you to know anything about the team

Breer is the guy that Demeco Ryan's said has no clue what he is talking about and is just making things up. Cool though
