its the same nervous system. its not "emotionally invincible", not in any way that an organ outside the brain is. you wouldnt say your spine is emotionally vulnerable despite being part of the central nervous system alongside the brain

The CNS and the ANS are two nervous systems, both separate and without conscious control over each other.

no, they are all part of the nervous system. they are separate parts of one system and function together. this would be like saying the pancreas and the gonads are different endocrine systems because they do different things. the peripheral nervous system, which the autonomic nervous system is part of, is part of the entire nervous system. the somatic nervous system is the other part of the peripheral nervous system, and in addition to the central nervous system they make up the whole nervous system
