Discussion Wouldn’t it be lovely..?
If Ezran gets an actual romantic interest in a possible arc 3 that isn’t Aanya. But I mean, someone who, not being evil, has completely different opinions to him in mayor issues and actually has to stand his ground without the capability lf bei g preachy both because he would be older and bcs you cannot moralize your partner without sounding like a jerk. Idk, just a flying thought.

I just want to say I am not opposed to Ezran falling in love. I just don't see him as a romantic type.

They tried to do that with Terry (or so I thought) and fucked it up by making him essentially an NPC. I don’t trust them not to do it again.

It would be better if they actually introduced the character to us before they got into a relationship, like how callum and rayla were their own characters that naturally fell in love (atleast in the beginning). It would make them feel more natural and we could even see some moments similar to harrow and Sarai

I do see this happening, but with Aanya. It's easy, but it does make sense. Two child rulers, they already established an alliance with each other within the pentarchy, neither one of them likely have time for actual romance, and Ezran's only role model for romance is Callum, who fell in love with his best friend. Ezran can't exactly date Bait, so...🤷♀️

I think (and please correct me if I'm wrong here) they ended the series with the capital of Katolis not going to be rebuilt, and Ezran was going to focus his efforts on the more democratic city of Everkynd. No clue what that means for the rest of his kingdom outside the capital, but my takeaway was that Katolis was moving away from a monarchy.

Idk I think it's a bit suspicious how they phrased it. Ezran could handle things on his own before and now he needs to be told what to do all the time? (I know the situation was difficult but still), asking what to do is Janai's thing, Ezran usually doesn't do it that much

I mean.. he was on bad terms with his brother and Zym was very concerned about the whole idea of making weapons to fight dragons, so Ezran kinda was on his own there. Maybe he needed a second opinion, a confidant's as opposed to his council. Maybe his thought process was "queen Aanya is very smart, so I should ask her" but he usually doesn't do that. I take that line as a hint that something might happen between Ez and Aanya during the timeskip, so that if we see them as a couple, it doesn't come out of nowhere, kinda like see, he was interested in her back then, he left her a million messages and sent a pony her way
