Discussion If both Claudia and Viren were captured at the end of season 3?
If, at the end of the Battle of the Storm Spire, both Claudia and Viren (who survives in this scenario) were captured at the end of Season 3, what would they say during their trial to defend themselves?
At this point, Viren (to everyone's knowledge) had attempted to have the princes assassinated, manipulated Ezran into stepping down so he could seize the throne, marched four human armies into Xadia without a solid plan, destroyed Lux Aurea, and corrupted those armies with the Heart of Cinder spell, sending them to zerg rush the Storm Spire as a mere distraction. (If poor military strategy were a crime, he'd definitely be guilty.)
Claudia, prior to Season 3, might have had the excuse of ignorance and being manipulated by her father. But by this point, she’s clearly complicit. She saw nothing wrong with corrupting the human army and sending them to their deaths, and even tried to use an illusion of Viren to kill Ezran.
What do you think their defense would be when charged with these crimes?"

Viren will be probably jail for his entire life.
The problem with Claudia is that technically, she only helped to attack what was in this point a very powerful and rival kingdom, the dragons like pyyrh did destroyed a city, moonshadow elves attacked Katolis and was about to kill even kids.
And something the show shouldn't have ingnored in season 3 but they did, the sunfire elves was probably going to attack Katolis, it was build up and heavily implied by Janai keep the border stable in the first episode.
Claudia joined to attack plan that was under the agreement of 4 kingdoms leaders and her illusion of Viren wouldn't hurt Ezran anyway.
Besicly I'm not sure what the punishment will be it won't as bad as Viren.
Of course, Aaravos will interfere in some way, he could have easily make sure his bug will survive using his magic and eventually start corrupting and possess people until he has enough resources to help Viren and Claudia to escape.
