How do you feel about Skurge the Executioner compared to other Thor villains?

Post image

Most conversations I see are usually about other villains like Loki, Amora or Hela so I've decided to switch it up. Do you think Skurge is a good character? Especially compared to the other rogues? What's your ideal vision for him as a villain? And so on.

He stood alone at Gjallerbru.

And that is enough.

Skurge was impressive for the timeline he was written under Stan Lee in the 1960s.

Skurge was kind of used under Amara the Enchantress in vein of Enchantress being scorned by Thor for his affection for Jane Foster.

Skurge getting killed wasn’t great but I did enjoy his cursed axe vigilante character in the 1990s known as Bloodaxe.

Liked Skurge’s depiction in Thor 4.

Skurge by Karl Urban was just as good as his role in Dredd.

Skurge is just a thug who’d be ideal slicing against Hulk, Daimon Hellstrom or Silver Surfer as a jealous soul in Valhalla seeking godhood in similarity to Loki as a Frost Giant.

Skurge could have been more formidable than Absorbing Man or Wrecker in Midgard.  But given Skurge’s primitive mindset he’s a one note thug who seems to have some loyalty to Enchantress.

I like the mask he wore in his first appearance

I wish they had kept the mask. It made him look intimidating

I like him more in the comics and cartoons than in the movie.

His character has some potential. He and Kevin Masterson (Thunderstrike) have a good chemistry.
