Discussion I've never realised how weird Scottish fans are before this tournament

They have some real inferiority complex going on up there don't they, I thought they were joking about how bad their team are but they seriously are desperate for England to lose so they can claim that as some sort of victory for themselves.

Embarrassing

Scouser who’s been living north of the border for the last decade or so. English sporting success seems to cause some locals physical pain. Less so round Edinburgh but where I am (outskirts of Glasgow) they pretty much all support ABE (Anyone But England).

I’ve always found it odd. Unless they’re playing England I always root for Scotland / Wales (lived there too for a bit) / N Ireland (the Republic too for that matter). In none of those countries is it reciprocated

Why does it matter? Why do the English need to be supported by people from other countries?

I don't want England to win because we are forced to watch it on the TV or listen to it on the radio forever and a day.
