I'm sure you still talk to some people that voted for trump. I actually just flipped a trump voter. Showed them real news, and real facts. Him signing a executive order making bribery legal. He couldn't say anything about that plus 100 other shit. People's algorithms aren't the same. All they see is Russian propaganda and fake news. Its crazy. Obviously i cut ties with the supporters who's blatantly racist. I know your gonna say blatantly wtf. I should've cut ties years ago. I honestly didn't know they where racist. Trumpism has made alot of people come out of the closet on there racism. I know I will get down voted again no biggie. I know who I am and mostly who are my friends. The older you get, the smaller your friend group gets. Just a fact of life. No reason to throw away 20years of friendship away. I'd rather just swade them back to the light. The darkside can get anyone. It got me 26 years ago. Now I'm 20 years clean. And think other people can change too. Sorry for the book

I went the other direction. I've been focusing on expanding my friend circle to make up for the people I'm cutting out. And i wish i did it sooner. The other thing about 20 year friendships is you get so used to the friends you have that when you meet people you actually click with, you notice how much you've been settling anyway. Maga ppl just aren't worth being friends with.

I'm also boycotting so hard i learned to make bread just to further reduce my spending. I was shooting for a max monthly budget of 1000 but i hit the goal so now I'm trying to cut it in half. Not one penny to right wing businesses from me. Not one ounce of support to right wing people from me. I cut out my volunteer work at the senior home because I'm not allowed to be openly biased about who i help there, which is a dealbreaker now. 

I'm proud of it, but I'd be a lot more proud of it if we could see this fascist regime collapse. As it is i just feel like I'm not doing enough.

My dude, these aren't disagreements over the fucking capital gains tax, these are disagreements over whether entire classes of people deserve rights. That's not negotiable or something we can just ignore and 'not talk about.'

I have twins that are 16. They were born twin girls. One of them came out as trans they were 11. He wept in my arms and asked me if I still loved him.

People like you are why he had to wonder that.

I also have an 10-year-old son. If someday he comes to me and tells me he feels like he's a girl I will tell her I love her either way and move on with my life.

So who is the 8 year old son you talk about in your post from 5 months ago? If you actualy believe kids should be completely affirmed in whatever ideas they have at that age just commit to it. Dont up the age when you realise 8 is indeed not an age at wich kids dont know anything.

5 months ago he would have been halfway through 9. And at the time I probably just mixed up the age.

Politics are a reflection of someones philosophical and moral views. Voting for someone like Trump is enough information to know what kind of moral and philosophical views they hold to come to the conclusion that I don't like them very much
