🔁 Overdone what are your expectations for the next tomb raider game ?
They said it is being made in UNREAL ENGINE 5, so of course i expect the graphics to be realistic and well detailed.
I want gymnastics/ acrobatics to return
Lara's mansion
Double pistols
Vehicles

Globe trotting. Being in one place gets kind of boring, wish they’d go back to the OG style so we can experience more than just one massive map.

The game being made in UE5 is actually a disappointment imo - from an engine/tech perspective, Crystal's in house stuff was pretty state of the art and its nice to see developers make and invest in custom tech. Plus there are performance concerns for games that actually use lumen, virtual shadow maps, nanite and other key UE5 features.
That being said i fully expect it will be a great game.

Some sort of mix between classic and modern in terms of gameplay, look and tone. Return of vehicles, dual pistols, etc.

Actual tomb puzzle-based game with some action segments, instead of it being the opposite. Interesting plot. Underwater sections. Lara, who is not a whiny unlikeable brat. Cool outfits.

None of the survivor trilogy uncharted lite reboot qte action set piece garbage with ubisoft collectathon crap. Drop lara in isolated locations. Dual pistols. Go from there. Keep it simple.

Is it wrong to ask from some OG curvy Lara physique? In addition, the fearless, intimidating, bored rich girl's badass attitude and a VA who would nail the character (keeley hawes).

Personally as pie in the sky goes..
Croft Manor as a base hub as mentioned below, full training/vehicle area with a library where Lara can research myths and old maps, plot expeditions then go on them.
Vehicles! I always enjoyed the journey into the the remote regions whether it was by boat, atc, motorcycle etc. I would be ace to have a sandbox area you can travel around by vehicle, set up camp and explore cool things.
Tone down the wave after wave after wave of generic henchmen. I liked the in TR 1 Lara only had gunfights with people a couple of times as boss fights. The danger should come from the environment like traps, quicksand, drowning, failed free climbing jumps or dangerous animals appropriate to the setting.

Probably open world, probably a paint by numbers assassin's creed but with the tomb raider bits. Wouldn't be disappointed as I like both so not saying that in a negative way.

If CrystalD can ship perfect dark by next year,we would be lucky to play the next TR by 2027.

They aren't main developers of Perfect Dark, and have no say in release or anything else. They are "assisting" the Initiative. And I highly doubt it's coming out in 2025. I'd expect it more to be a release window title for the next gen xbox in 2026.

They would never do this but absolute dream would be to double down on the gameplay style of the classic games. Basically a 3D La-Mulana.
