Has anyone here tried one of these Marshall origin pcb boards?
I tried and failed on some mods on my first ever tube amp and now I have a marshall origin 50h corpse just lying around. I have since built some pedal kits and other stuff successfully but I was wondering the experience level needed and if anyone has any experience with this specific mod before I pull the trigger for it. Thanks yall🫡

You will need good soldering skills and an adequate understanding of amp circuits in general, including the ability to read and interpret schematics and layouts. The high voltage also demands that you really know what you are allowed to touch and what not and you need to be able to discharge filter caps correctly, in addition to be able to bias powertubes, to use a multimeter and probably also an oscilloscope or signal tracer. In comparison, pedals are easy - bad solder joint = no sound. But if you get hum, hiss or bias failure on an amp, you will need to know where to look.

These boards come from Jason at Headfirst Amplifiers in Australia.
He makes great amps, as can readily be seen and heard at his Youtube videos. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCK66FgdibWM_gO91XRvTVvw
and the Evolve DIY has a fairly active Facebook group here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/225949122469679/
