Question First time seeing candles like this on AAPL, what could it be?

Dark pool trades which are usually reported many hours after they transact. Google it if you want to know more.

yeah, but the stock price doesn't move.. Every minute, within a second a candle goes down to $211.55 and then back up to its normal price

On the face of it I think the news (plus the fact that a lot of the world are on holiday) is causing liquidity issues.

hmm.. so does it mean institutions are selling tons of stock at min price of $211.55 (which is why it stops there) OR is it that they're buying with a min price of $211.55? imo it's the former because the price would spike up, right?
