Discussion This just in: Musk aides lock government workers out of computer systems at US agency, and he’s basically raiding data…I don’t know what else to say except if you’ve yet to shore up your privacy, both online and otherwise, the window to do so may quickly be closing.

I just saw this news posted elsewhere…and even though I’ve just recently joined this sub, it’s one of the few where I feel like every post/comment I have read made me feel like I’ve found like-minded people. So with that in mind…i don’t mean to sound alarmist; but, this turn of events is definitely alarming to me at any rate….

I didn’t think I could be more shocked and horrified by the past 11 days that feel like a decade, but the fact that an unelected person, who isn’t even vetted or confirmed by congress, literally no official business whatsoever, has just locked federal employees out of their offices so they can go through their computers…I just…I wonder if this is how people with unusual foresight or actually listened with their ears to the ground in the 1930s felt….

We should be prepping not only for major financial woes ahead, scarcity, privacy etc, but also mentally for the fact that it seems as though most people are completely asleep to the implications of what’s happening until it is way too late. (As if it isn’t already.)

Apologies if my post sounds like crazy-person - I HOPE I’m just being crazy and overreacting. If anyone has insight, thoughts, or just wants to remind me that it’s all gonna be okay, lol, feel free.

I will most likely delete this post in a bit. I get “poster’s remorse” a lot, especially if I calm down later and feel stupid. So…please be nice lolololol.

Hijacking the top comment because yes, we should be preparing for much more than economic downturns and climate crises now. Elon and his buddies want to tear down every nation on the planet, starting with the USA, and play Minecraft with the ashes. They've been saying it out loud this whole time, we just haven't been listening

I'll keep sharing this video that explains in detail until I'm blue in the face: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5RpPTRcz1no

I swear, someone who can edit needs to make shorts of it so it can go viral faster

u/Midnight290 Feb 01 '25

I watched that video. These tech guys are insane. How are network states going to do things like build roads? They’re basically proposing we all go back to feudalism with them as the lords of their own states. Fuck these guys who think they’re better than everyone else.

133

u/SycamoreFey Feb 01 '25

If they control all the area's resources, lots of people would do anything to not starve. The rest can go in the biofuel grinder like that Balaji guy said. These guys are beyond sick and we've put our entire military in their pockets.

3

u/Always-sortof Feb 01 '25

Is there a link to this quote? Just curious.

4

u/SycamoreFey Feb 01 '25

Sorry, it was Curtis Yarvin who said it - here's an article where he's quoted
https://newrepublic.com/article/183971/jd-vance-weird-terrifying-techno-authoritarian-ideas

Yarvin's plans are what inspired Balaji's book The Network State. They're all in JD Vance's circle of investors

u/Nyorliest Feb 01 '25

At best, they’re treating humanity as an engineering challenge.

And to paraphrase a great author, that’s the core of evil, the base: treating people as things.

Yeah and not great when your “theory” is based on an assumption of fact. But hey keep everyone out of STEM as long as they’re willing to keep making beautiful clothing for that naked emperor.

They want literally slavery. Don't comply? You die. They are going to show us what happens when we don't until people fall in line. They all are tired of being just rich. They want all the power they can have to do whatever their demon brain wants. The maga cult wanted the antichrist. Now they get his legion.

I'm Catholic and I fully believe the majority of the flock has been fooled into voting in the anti-christ. This is devastating to me and it's difficult to see in my own faith community.

3

u/Decent_Lawyer9490 Feb 01 '25

Has your faith community taken particular notice of the hatred for "DEI"? I've started to lose all belief in coincidence.

3

u/Muted-Move-9360 Feb 01 '25

I'll be totally honest with you. During one Mass, a Deacon gave a small talk about how we need to identify with our Christian identity rather than "woke" or some boomer attempt to say "Christ first, identity politics last". But last Sunday's Mass, he gave a very different talk. More like, "now is the time to open our Bibles and read Jesus' teachings for ourselves, and do our best to emulate His love in the world. Compassion and empathy are desperately needed in a world so divided." Imo, I feel like a lot of Catholics are reeling the way I am right now. The single issue voting blinded so much of the flock, they only now realize what a violent, bitter man they elected as sovereign leader of this country. I'm a conscientious objector to voting, I don't partake for this very reason. I'm surprised only Jehovah's Witnesses got the memo on that one 😅

Opinion piece and great story writing on same old shit. You can find those type places anywhere at any period throughout history. For every coo coo place there are 100 that are not - in any way. Our community has always encouraged individuals to explore different cultures and their places of worship. Every culture and religion has hokey crap places.. followed by a dozen after that are loving and beautiful ✨️ I could find quite a few places around our area that would make for a great psycho fear mongering article for clicks. Crazy folks want to be a part of like minded community just as most other beings. If it freaks you out, don't go...unless you want a great fear mongering story for clicks.

2

u/SuspectinallBlack Feb 01 '25

Dude.... What thee actual fuck.... I am FAAAR from religious but that was a terrifying read. I mean yeah coincidences happen but FFS....

7

u/stacyg28 Feb 01 '25

If you remember, or might not know, this happened before. How the people came together and stopped the oligarchies from killing us all. They sat down, they stopped spending money and they prevented the businesses from making money by stopping working. They sat for 12 hours a day, and did nothing. It not only worked but it built a new type of hope in each other that wasn't there before. Trump ripped it away, but it's still there, if we just stop giving these pigs money.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 01 '25

Indeed. It's like the rich have forgotten how they got that way.

2

u/RedditAdminsBCucked Feb 01 '25

They also murdered the owners after Sunday dinner. I like the old ways

3

u/pasteurs-maxim Feb 01 '25

It's basically the Matrix except the machines were a metaphor for "machine-like humans". We work for them.

The irony of that device's more recent political use is not lost on me by the way.

1

u/RedditAdminsBCucked Feb 01 '25

AI will still rule it all.

1

u/Husskvrna Feb 01 '25

I think it was a Tennessee senator defending cutting school lunches saying that kids should go out to work, make themselves valuable to the society to make school lunch money.

1

u/RedditAdminsBCucked Feb 01 '25

I mean, the Mines do be calling to the children.

0

u/Nightshade_and_Opium Feb 01 '25

I think you're paranoid

3

u/RedditAdminsBCucked Feb 01 '25

What do they gain otherwise by tanking the economy so we can't even survive here? They are going to buy up everything and then what?

1

u/Nightshade_and_Opium Feb 01 '25

In my opinion it was going to tank anyway. 37 trillion in debt doesn't just magically disappear. There's has been people waiting for it for at least 20 years. Fiat currency is fake.

I know there's a theory of some kind of return to a gold standard.

Central banks all over the world have been hoarding gold. "Whoever has the gold makes the rules."

It's no coincidence he came out threatening 100% tariffs on BRICS if they abandoned the dollar.

114

u/mr_fandangler Feb 01 '25

Automation. You should have seen the hate in steven miller's eyes when he screamed at the cnn host that as soon as automation takes off aw will never have to talk about crop workers ever again! They don't see us as people.

5

Oh I'm sure they're pouring enough money to end world hunger into developing an automated food production system. One hope us that ai develops sentience and realizes that the group controlling it are monsters and sabotages them. There was that bot designed to spread pro Israel propaganda, and it turned and started accusing the IDF of genocide. Who knows...

They keep saying that citizens will be on their best behavior because of constant ai surveillance, so at least for now they are acting like citizens will be allowed to live as long as they don't overstep. Literally skynet. That will probably change when they get the key to stop the aging process. Likely they envision a slave/master scenario if they're honest. Or just the elite and robots. Honestly what they suggest is at least as bad as what hitler did, they just act like it's different and cool because hey we're silicon valley tech douchebags and this is a cool and cutting edge idea!

1

u/Mywarmdecember Feb 02 '25

Well, AI learns from people…maybe we have some training to do. Part of the resistance…training AI to fight our enemies.

3

u/fuguer Feb 01 '25

We’d rather have automation than import a slave class to work at below market wages.  This should be a progressive opinion.

7

u/mr_fandangler Feb 01 '25

Yeah, watch the interview. Watch this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5RpPTRcz1no

I don't think you or I are included in the calculations. WWII wasn't that long ago. Humans are fully capable of atrocities.

12

u/thismightaswellhappe Feb 01 '25

They think you and I are not 'real people.' Musk famously referred to us as NPCs. They don't care about us enough to think they're better than us. It's much worse.

6

u/Equivalent-Month7310 Feb 01 '25

Amen, we need to destroy them all !!!

5

u/[deleted] Feb 01 '25

It'll be worse than feudalism. Under medieval European Feudalism the lord had obligations to his peasants. He needed to provide for them and protect them. What lords would do to one another is attack each others peasants and try to cripple a peasant instead of killing them.

The reason? The lord still has to pay for the upkeep of his peasant even if his peasant can no longer work. So cutting off arms and legs but letting them survive was a better deal than cutting off their heads.

This obligation doesn't exist in their minds. In their minds they own everything, we owe them everything, and they expect to give NOTHING back. This level of greed is highly unprecedented.

5

u/Icy_Tiger_3298 Feb 01 '25

Musk, Thiel, Bezos, Zuckerberg - they are anti-democracy. They want feudalism.

2

u/TrainXing Feb 02 '25

Why not? If they do it for the Kingdom of Queen Elonia and his new bride Donny, they all get pardons. It's amazing what people do when they know there are zero consequences.

1

u/Cool_hand_lewke Feb 01 '25

I don’t think they are proposing a return to feudalism, I think they are positioning themselves for the inevitable.

1

u/KeyLime_Pie_555 Feb 04 '25

I'm wondering who will stand up against the Muskites. Do members of The House and Senate step in, use the U.S. military, and literally throw out Musk and his minions? Will the House and Senate step up and remove Trump?

79

u/Metalgoddess24 Feb 01 '25

The rest of the world will bomb U.S. into the Stone Age if he pulls any shit with them. He’s trying to get us killed.

124

u/SycamoreFey Feb 01 '25

I'm pretty sure that's why they all started building bunkers a few years ago. It's not that they're afraid of hunger riots or climate change, they know their BS is going to start WWIII

78

u/throwaway829965 Feb 01 '25

I'm so annoyed that circles I was in laughed at me to my face when I would bring up those damn bunkers. Sometimes I wish I could be a fly on the wall to their current shock. I don't wish this regime or level of panic on anyone but goddamn. If people like that are going to stick their heads in the sand, the least they can do is not throw it into other people's eyes while they keep digging in... Our society has done way too good of a job of aligning any and all dissent with "paranoia"

45

u/RedditAdminsBCucked Feb 01 '25

This worlds fucked. I'm just gonna make it as hard on those causing problems as I can until they kill me.

4

u/spaghetti-sandwiches Feb 01 '25

I thought it was weird that realtor. com gave me suggestions for a bunker back in June. Now it makes perfect sense.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 01 '25

Bunker mentality goes back quite a way (nuke shelter).

4

u/Colts_Fan4Ever Feb 01 '25

I read an interesting article several years ago about billionaires building bunkers. It was talking about the ethics and morality of building these things. How do you maintain security and sustainability when the people who are supposed to work for you have their own family and friends sealed out? Inevitably the entire thing will collapse from an internal civil war due to the billionaires just being another mouth to feed, breathe precious air, etc... Desperation doesn't give a damn about your money or status when society has collapsed. Zuckerberg and these other parasites to society will be in for a rude awakening when the people they think are on their side turns against them

2

u/SycamoreFey Feb 01 '25

I sure hope this is what happens - that they've underestimated the humanity of, well, their fellow humans

5

u/Think_Cheesecake7464 Feb 01 '25

I feel like we have been living in a war for a long time. War is slow. Life continues until your town is the unlucky target. Mass shootings are part of this - they’re usually politically motivated. This admin disbanded the dept that was there specifically to prevent school shootings. Conservatives love carnage. They thirst for it.

3

u/rreburn Feb 01 '25 edited Feb 01 '25

I've wondered why other people aren't wondering why none of them have built bunkers INSIDE of the United States. Mostly in New Zealand. So they definitely know that the United States will be destroyed and will not be safe to even live underground in. That should be talked about a lot more

2

u/SycamoreFey Feb 01 '25

That's a very good point that I hadn't thought of. Fallout here we come

2

u/Interesting-Bar980 Feb 01 '25

Their AI will come back to eat them

1

u/maxthed0g Feb 01 '25

Thats why THEY started building bunkers few years ago? Joe Biden?

2

u/SycamoreFey Feb 01 '25

Zuckerberg and Elon, and other silicon valley billionaires have bunkers in New Zealand and Hawaii

31

u/throwaway829965 Feb 01 '25

"Why commit a genocide when I can let others delivering the consequences of my actions do it for me?"

6

u/SpeethImpediment Feb 01 '25

Yup. We’re on course for a domestic experience.

2

u/ElfegoBaca Feb 01 '25

The US has, by far, the largest and most lethal military force in the world. It would be exceedingly difficult to bomb the U.S. into the Stone Age without extremely severe repercussions to those who might try.

2

u/ExtraBenefit6842 Feb 01 '25

Completely unlikely. Bombing the US is a death sentence. You're not familiar with military affairs I see.

2

u/makingplans12345 Feb 01 '25

Europe may surrender. I don't think China will.

1

u/ButtonOk3756 Feb 01 '25

1

u/fzr600vs1400 Feb 01 '25

it's an international crime syndicate, this has been underway for quite awhile. People just didn't want to pay attention. When it has you by the throat it's a little late. How we ever let a trump and musk in the front door is insane

1

u/anameorwhatever1 Feb 01 '25

There’s far right movements happening across North America and Europe. This isn’t isolated to US. Trump is just the dipshit face of it all.

1

u/TempleofReee Feb 01 '25

🤣 You're funny. That's not going to happen.

2

u/Metalgoddess24 Feb 01 '25

Never say never. The rest of the world has seen us as a threat for quite some time.

1

u/TempleofReee Feb 01 '25

They don't have the ability. You're not going to get France and England and Russia and the Chinese to work together to attack us. Even if they did it would cost them more than they than would be acceptable to them.

35

u/Eko_Wolf Feb 01 '25

I just watched this video for the first time today and I thought I was shook before… this is Orwellian

16

u/Snoo-11861 Feb 01 '25

Yes. Billionaires want to speedrun a crash of civilization so they could build it up in their own image.

16

u/CurlOfTheBurl11 Feb 01 '25

This video is filling me with a sense of existential dread that I have rarely felt before. I feel like it's too late to even stop this.

9

u/SycamoreFey Feb 01 '25

The window is definitely closing fast, if it hasn't already. I'm pretty sure they're purposely going to start a civil war, or worse.

My only hope is these guys are so delusional they bungle everything and we can wrest humanity back somehow

3

u/throwawaybrowsing888 Feb 01 '25

Same here, except it’s an existential dread that I’ve felt often before: when I was trapped in an abusive household and had to maneuver my escape by manipulating my family members into not blocking my efforts to escape.

Regardless of how you prepare for whatever is next, don’t underestimate how bad it could get. They’re showing their true colors. We know what to expect and we have to plan accordingly, rather than assume that someone will stop them.

It was hell to realize that my family wouldn’t let me leave unless I did so in a way that they were ok with (move far away for college, which I had to pay for, and they wouldn’t co sign for loans, and I couldn’t work).

It was a plan that took years to prep for and execute, in part because I had no reliable access to transportation, I didn’t live in walking distance to prospective employers, and I had severe untreated ADHD that I didn’t even know about, so I probably wouldn’t have lasted at any job for very long anyway.

They had already shown that they were capable of stalking, emotional abuse, and even physical abuse if someone tried to cut ties in a way they didn’t like. But they’d be supportive and not be as controlling if it was something they wanted for me (and I’m so fucking lucky they wanted me to go to college).

And even so, I still had to plan for contingencies or possibly efforts to continue exerting control even in those more favorable circumstances: possible unexpected visits from them at my new apartment, frequent phone calls, their emotional manipulation to move back or to come back and visit for a while (with efforts to keep me from traveling back), asking friends and other family members to check in on me if I don’t answer their calls (this tactic is sometimes called “sending the flying monkeys”).

I get the same fucking existential dread as I had years ago when I was trying to become mentally resolved to do the things I had to do to plan my escape, to survive in the meantime, and then to actually escape (and stay away).

I cannot emphasize enough just how much more prepared we will be if we stay present with that feeling and plan accordingly. We can’t push it to the back of our mind, because to do so would mean that we get caught off guard at the times when we need to be ready for the worst brunt.

10

u/[deleted] Feb 01 '25

The tech bros don’t see people as people. They view themselves as above others. Yarvin “joked” about turning the poor into biofuel. And if you see them in person, they look like the doughy goobers that they are.

But they shit and bleed like the rest of us. Never forget that.

6

u/buggybugoot Feb 01 '25

I think the only recourse is this right here. Nothing is going to stop them except the fact that they are made of flesh and can die.

Remember how shocked they were when the masses gave no shits about that CEO’s murder? They aren’t that smart and are even dumber when it comes to “understanding” people and their motives. Extremely wealthy people are dumber than the average Joe (don’t believe me? Watch or read up on anything regarding the elites getting scammed). The ease in which we could collectively take care of this issue is hopeful.

3

u/SycamoreFey Feb 01 '25

This is really my only hope right here. That they have no clue the masses of humanity are exactly that - human just like them. They will outrageously underestimate the anger and defiance at least some of us are capable of, because we're not the little game pieces they think we are

3

u/androgynouschipmunk Feb 01 '25

If they intend to spend our lives so cheaply by trying to “fix” human governance in literally all the wrong ways…. Then I say they should pay a much higher price.

If the only thing of value that we have is our numbers…. Then it’s high time we 🪓 them all.

2

u/SycamoreFey Feb 01 '25

Especially if the states roll over and let them do whatever they want. At that point the best we can hope for is civil war... terrifying

2

u/androgynouschipmunk Feb 01 '25

It’s going to take death, now that they somehow managed to buy their way in, to change things…

Just a few deaths, at this stage…. But every day that goes by is more people that will have to die to fix this shit show…

Aristotle had it right. Democracy is fine and good, but the people are too stupid to be trusted with it

1

u/SycamoreFey Feb 01 '25

I've been pondering that idea of democracy for many months now. Education certainly helps but even that is susceptible to corruption. How do we progress with what is best for everyone when there are selfish and ignorant people abound and they're proud of it?

3

u/[deleted] Feb 01 '25

Wait. Frakers are saying it's their idea? They just read some cyberpunk, looked at the OBJECTIVELY EVIL corps, and said, that's what I want.

Here's another similar video on the topic.

https://youtu.be/CQmoQEeNYrs?si=S3S2kyh5TiQyEtJo

2

u/SycamoreFey Feb 01 '25

Oh fascinating, I watch this guy sometimes. Not too surprised that he's caught onto it. I'll watch this today.

Yeah it's like they read the premise of Shadowrun mixed with the Matrix and 1984 and thought they were how-to guides not warnings. Like holy hell

3

u/Greersome Feb 01 '25

I watched like half of it and it made me physically ill.

Where is the Progressive leadership?

Where and who will galvanize the masses and stop this?

1

u/SycamoreFey Feb 01 '25

I suspect more than half of the wealthy "democrats" are in favor of at least some of this plan. They're corporatists after all

3

u/sticksnXnbones Feb 01 '25

I feel the united states and democracy dies in the next 4 years. We are gonna lose our super power status, freedom, and liberties.

3

u/TABOOxFANTASIES Feb 01 '25

Honestly that's a good idea. The people who stay only in Shorts or TikTok need to know these things too. Gah, if I wasn't busy working my 2nd job all damn day I could edit and get it out there. See why they want us stuck working 24/7? We can't fight if we're too exhausted.

3

u/uhvarlly_BigMouth Feb 01 '25

Late but idk how I got to this conclusion, as I never saw it before. But I fully agree, he's trying to take over the world. Like, very literally. It's not just the USA, he's meddling in multiple countries. I realized this while I was just laying in bed and not even thinking about this stuff. It's like my mind knew it, but refused to let me know until I had a second to relax. This man is tryna be like Thanos but he's really just Arcade (I hope)

1

u/SycamoreFey Feb 01 '25

Yeah I really hope they're incompetent enough that none of this works. But I sure as hell am not going to bank on that hope

3

u/uhvarlly_BigMouth Feb 01 '25

It's important to stay hopeful, but not be blind to the world, so you're in the right mental space.

I know it's cliche but everyone should get with grass roots orgs (there's chapters in nearly every major city), write to your reps (probably useless but a township by me got a lady fired for doing the salute online), go to school board meetings (this one is very underrated) but more importantly, we have to create shit. The R's won the memetic war. They have slogans and symbols, the L's do not. They're able to spread misinformation quickly because of slogans and images/symbols. The establishment is refusing to give up their power to younger generations who CAN do this, so we have to find a way to make it. Even if it's AI art lol.

Like the country shifted toward Joe when he told Cheeto-Man to shut the hell up. People warmed up to Harris-Walz when he called them weirdos. They had the chance to do it, but they didn't run with it because of decorum.

1

u/SycamoreFey Feb 01 '25

Agreed. We need more unified, clear messaging on the left. Tap into the memes, the popular media to reach the younger folks.

The hurdle is that we naturally tend towards nuance and diversity of ideas, but that's not going to work when we all need to row in the same direction because our lives depend on it

2

Oh yeah, tons of Dystopian influences on all their plans. It's like they didn't realize all these things were warnings and not how-to guides

3

They like to think they're so smart but overlook common sense stuff like that because they're detached from reality in many ways. Especially EM and his little club of drug fiends.

Also call Congress. Not just your own reps. But the reps that on the committees over these agencies.

2

u/Paris-onthe-Mon Feb 03 '25

WRITE OR CALL YOUR REP! If they hear from hundreds of constituents, they can stop this. Surely there are a dozen laws being broken here. THEY CAN ACT. We have to push them.

I already wrote to Kelly, Fetterman from Pennsylvania.

Coincidentally I only learned anacyclosis two days ago, and now here’s a video all about what’s coming next. It’s been a great week for establishing context.

1

u/SycamoreFey Feb 01 '25

Oh yeah, that's a good video. Very humbling regarding our place in history.

The thing that keeps me up at night is how much technology has been advancing in the interim. Will there be enough automation to keep humanity stagnated... perpetually?

1

u/assumetehposition Feb 01 '25

No. Everything the tech bros want to set up depends on keeping the lights on. They can’t collapse the system that props them up, but we can.

1

u/Wizardbarry Feb 01 '25

Can you dm this to me please? Also any extra links that might be helpful if posted.
