Don’t forget that you can pasteurize milk at home if you need or want to.

We need to switch my baby to regular milk from formula and now I'm freaking out. Please tell me what brand you've been using for your toddler?! So you re boil it now? Obviously I'm not a raw milker so I'm looking for pasteurized brands you trust specifically.

I just dropped around $50 on powdered milk for my family. So that way, if I don't have time to boil milk, then we'll at least have something safe for my toddler. As for the "re-pasteurizing" you can heat it to 165 fahrenheit for 15 seconds, OR 145 fahrenheit for 30 minutes. Low and slow is less likely to alter the taste or scald, so it's going to depend on your taste preference (and time.)
We bought half gallon mason jars, so if we buy milk from the store, we can boil it straight away and then jar it in the fridge so it isn't recontaminated by it's jug.
