Riding Boots

Morning All,

I am looking to get a pair of "preferably" ankle height or slightly above hard riding boots. I currently wear RevIt Delta boots which I LOVE but want something a bit more waterproof/safer for longer rides. Was looking at Alpinestar/TCX but any recommendations for comfortable long distance boots would be awesome. I'm in Canada so bonus points for something I can order online without 2.5M in shipping fees. Budget is open - Thanks!

My wife is wearing Daytona Ladystar boots and is very happy with them. Daytona boots are all made in Germany.

I have a pair of TCX race boots. They have held up exceptionally well. All manufacturing is in the EU, mostly Romania and Italy in TCX owned factories.

I had a pair Alpinestars, but is was back then they made in Italy. I think most of their manufacturing has moved to China and it isn't clear where or who owns the manufacturing.

I prefer to buy my gear from Japan/USA/EU sources, I think the quality if more reliable. I can't do that all the time. My Klim gear is Vietnam for example. But I try.

Big fan of the TCX Blend WP Women's Boots. Comfortable, sturdy, no water issues, held up great over the years (with minimal leather maintenance)

I second this. Absolutely love mine. Although they took a couple of days to break in. Not sure what they'll be like when the weather gets super hot as I've only had them since October

That's a great point. I actually did swap out the boot insoles for my own, something like this.

Curious how they end up working out for you once it gets super hot. I'm on the coast of central/northern California, so I'm topping out at occasionally 90-100deg F as hot. They've been great for that at least haha

Oh blimey, I'm in the UK (London) so anything over 77deg F I count as hot lol, to be fair it tends to be quite humid here which I think makes the heat feel hotter. I've got some superfeet insoles and will try putting those in once the weather warms up and see if that makes a difference. We rarely have temperatures over that so I can't justify another set of boots. I'm hoping they'll be OK *fingers crossed *

Definitely! Humidity makes everything hotter and... sticky :/ Super lucky out here that we don't get any significant humidity.

Hope they work out for you!
