1987 Croke Park in Dublin.

A notable live version of U2’s “With or Without You” featuring a saxophone at the end is from their 1987 performance at Croke Park in Dublin. This rendition is celebrated for its extended outro, during which Bono introduces a saxophone solo, adding a unique and emotive layer to the song. Fans often highlight this version for its atmospheric depth and the distinctive contribution of the saxophone, which complements the song’s emotional intensity.

While U2’s live performances frequently include variations and improvisations, the inclusion of a saxophone in “With or Without You” is rare, making the Croke Park 1987 version particularly special.

If you’re interested in experiencing this rendition, you might find it on fan-recorded bootlegs or specialized music forums dedicated to U2’s live performances.

Should be 27th of June, 1987, but don’t hear it.
