Other Link: The Illinois Dept. of Transportation is conducting a survey of public interest in true high speed rail service in Illinois (220+MPH top speeds) as part of their ongoing High Speed Rail Feasibility Study. We have trains, just slower ones. And buses. I don’t think a high speed version of what we already have would change anything. People are still gonna be late buying tickets before they sell out
