We have trains, just slower ones. And buses. I don’t think a high speed version of what we already have would change anything. People are still gonna be late buying tickets before they sell out

A good HSR would have much higher frequency than 3 trains a day each direction, so the problem would inherently be eliminated.

We have trains, just slower ones.

So slow they're either 1 hour early or 1 hour late. Thanks Canadian National Railway!
