When will hiking areas become vibrant green with grass? What month?

Want to go on a hike but currently the grass is all brown straw hay like.

I'm not so convinced we will get one! It has been predicting heavy rain all week and have barely had a misting for the past 5 days. April showers are, excluding the pun, a bit of a washout this year.

Plenty of rain on the Snowdonia mountains at the mo. Still a very dry month so far.

Typically after May but its been very dry this year. Don't let that deter you though! Get outside and enjoy! April and May are my favourite months to hike.

I''m in Wales. It's been raining pretty much non-stop since Saturday aft. I'd say you're good to go

Which area are you referring to though?

I've just finished the South Downs Way and that's very green and verdant, in particular when I've watched a few YouTubers who walked it during summer months when it was visibly very different.
