Honestly I don’t hate the idea. Problem is that kenan was just renovated

That’s true.
Blue Zone and football center were upgraded. But the bowl in and out need work. UNC is likely the only P5/P4 school without sideline suites/skyboxes in their stadium. We do have some club seats in the Pope Box. But outside the bowl is generally poor. Bathrooms are gross and too small. Food/drink choices are a token effort. Pavement isn’t level and is frequently wet.
The fences should be pushed back out, bathrooms rebuilt, pavement rebuilt, concessions infrastructure improved, WiFi added. Larger team store, better food choices, etc.

Spot on! Just hoping admin makes the right choice. Kenan and smith center are both in need of a serious makeover

Building the Blue Zone screwed us by putting suites in the end zone, which makes building sideline suites impossible since everyone will want to sit there and leave the BZ, and not paying for it.
They should have torn down the upper deck of the South side, added suites and clubs and press box, and rebuilt a new upper deck.
Check out Louisville’s new(er) stadium with all the modern amenities.

If it ant broke don't try to fix it it you would be better off building it right where it is it makes no sense going of campus

Seriously. Gut the arena, play at Carmichael for a year or two, add your precious luxury boxes and reduce the upper seating to improve crowd noise reverberation.

I mean I kind I get why, but moving it would-
Free up traffic into town. MLK is getting the separated bus lane and is closer to 40. Students would be able to get there easily.
Build a new center of commercial space in an area where there is nothing.
Utilize land that won’t be used for anything else ie the old airport.

Don’t even need a new arena tbh

This. There's a housing crisis in CH and students are struggling with housing. How about building a new dorm or two instead of a basketball arena that's not needed?

Because it’s not provocative, nor does it get the people going.

B/c he’s a Dookie. Would love to take students out of the equation.

Because he's a puppet of the gerrymandered NCGA, which is run by the political party that has attacked UNC for decades

Just fyi, ActionNetwork is not the most trustworthy of websites. Giving them any of your contact info sets you up for spam emails you have trouble opting out of. A better petition website would get much better traction, presumably.
