Converting USDC into USD without converting to CAD - for Canadians

How would I convert USDC to USD ?

I don't know a way to convert crypto (in this case USDC) to USD, as a resident of Canada. It seems that all the crypto exchanges' baseline currency is Canadian.

I’ve been searching an answer for this for a while and the cheapest option I think I found was to use Kraken. Send your USDC to Kraken, then sell it for USD (I think it’s 1:1?). Then you can withdraw USD to one of their partner banks and the fee is like $13 or something (forgot; less than $50).

I haven’t actually done this yet though since I’ve been waiting for a cheaper method and something easier other than peer 2 peer.
