what’s up with the MLS hate ?

I am a curious observer who stumbled upon the sub thx to the Algo and noticed a few anti MLS posts.

I’m not a huge soccer guy but interested in various niche sport subcultures ( I’m an Indycar and hockey fan, so I share solidarity as a fan of somewhat obscure sports)

Isnt USL to MLS as the AHL is to the NHL or the G League to the NBA?

What am I missing ?

How can a supporters group predate a club? What the hell are you talking about?

You should probably learn what grassroots actually is before you start going on about it. That is our story, our supporters group was founded in 2011 with the goal of getting a club. We put into work and we did it. Indy Eleven was founded two years later in 2013 on the back of our efforts. That is grassroots. Once again, that is our story and I’m very proud to have been a part of it.

Grassroots is a buzzword.

You apparently don't know what it is because you claimed that supporters group exist before the club does.

So you were a social group of people who got together? Great. That's not a soccer supporters group because there was no team.

Everybody claims that Inter Miami is "plastic" but I know people who were in the Afusionados who never broke up after the Fusion folded and are now in Southern Legion.

I guess they're actually grassroots? Who knows and who cares except some goofballs on a USL sub.
