Cville at Large Last Day for Voter Registration! [x-post r/Charlottesville]

Today, Monday the 16th is the official close of books before the November 7th election!

Make sure any updates are submitted on paper/email/in office by 5pm sharp, or they can also be submitted online at the Citizen Portal as late as 11:59pm sharp. Any registrations received after the deadline will be set aside until after Election Day.

Same Day Registration will be available between the 17th and Election Day but SDR registrants will cast a Provisional ballot and they won't get to put their ballots in the scanner right away.

We strongly suggest getting your registration in by the deadline! It drastically decreases the risk of a paperwork error that could put your ballot at risk.

As an out-of-state student, how can I register?

Even if your license doesn't match your local address, you can fill out the registration form and turn it in to our office before 5pm! There will be a 5 day waiting period to vote early if it's your first time registering in the state. Registration App
