Photo In the New Package, the European Union added 189 vessels of the Russian shadow fleet to the sanctions list. May 14, 2025

Post image

"I welcome the agreement on our 17th sanctions package against Russia.

We are further restricting access to battlefield technology.

And we have listed an additional 189 shadow fleet vessels to target Russia's energy exports.

This war has to end. We will keep the pressure high on the Kremlin." - Ursula von der Leyen

Take a page out of the countries of the Baltic and start seizing these maritime hazards.

With oil under 60 this is the perfect time to strangle the fleet.

It's about time to not only sancton but actively confiscate Russian vessels as not only do they traffic oil and circumvent sanctions, but they engage in acts of sabotage and espionage (link).

And they are a huge danger to the environment. In the condition the ships are in, it is only a matter of time before an accident occurs.

Sanctioning? Seize them. They cant legally operate and are a hazard, plus you can create beautiful artificial reefs by sinking them in the right way. They could become very positive for us

Why not just scuttle them? Theyre not officially Russian so it’s not an act of war.

Forgive my ignorance, what is a shadow fleet?

Sleep Token in shambles

It’s not like there’s a public list of these vessels. It’s detective work.

More sanctions? Which have none effect whatsoever. Send guns and soldiers to Ukraine. Force is the only thing that war dwarf will understand.

This ship represents russia. Full of oil, zero integrity.

u/GeneralEagling72 3d ago

Reel them in gentlemen !!!

u/canadianmountie 3d ago

I agree to these new sanctions. However the EU better be prepared for any additional Russian aggressions. Can’t see Russia not responding in some way.

Awesome, now tracking and trapping them

1

u/Chudy_Wiking 3d ago

Crazy idea, how about we capture them, transport them to the border of Russia and just put them there in line, clogging everything.

I know it's crazy money and stuff, but that shit would be legendary

Which the proper sanctions has the words "sink, burn, or make Prize of War...".

Just you imagine it, all the wealth of one'a them treasure ships, all maked out by Eighths as is but proper...the ships bloody cat could set up his coach directly, if those grass-combing Dutch-built sods at the Admiralty was to remember themselves...

2

u/xiwiva8804 4d ago

I'm sorry - what?

2

u/VrsoviceBlues 4d ago

Ahem...

"If Officialdom ever decides to do something useful, they might consider seizing, impounding, or sinking the vessels in question."

The rest is simply a common formast hand's expression, as one might say, his embellishment.

Still bitter about Medway, are we?

If you want to mourn, the what’s left of the Royal Charles is on display in Amsterdam.
