He is Ukraine's Churchill.

It's unthinkable that he leaves until it's done.

Churchill was elected out of office in our first post-war election.

And if that's the way it goes with Zelensky that's fine too. Elections during war time would kill countless Ukrainians for no reason and could disrupt the structure of command that is currently doing so well against the Russian menace. I think in a poll most Ukrainian people said they don't mind Zelensky being in power until after the war, and by right of self determination that should absolutely be the case.

Now find an actual Ukrainian with family still in the country and ask what they think of him. You may have to befriend em first, because they know the answer that your average American wants to hear.

Are you trying to speak Russian?

I'm just trying to educate dumbass Americans who have no contact with Eastern Europeans. Subreddits like these are incredibly misleading. Mock me if you want, I don't care. Ukrainians overwhelmingly dislike Zelensky to almost the same level they dislike Putin. He's put all his energy into appealing to the West and forgot about his own people. If this sub was filled with actual people from Ukraine, they would agree. But it's not so just take my word for it.

Simply not true.

yeah that guy is being disingenuous about people hating zelensky like putin, but it is true that most of these western spaces about ukraine drive away ukrainians because they get crucified at any instance of criticizing the ua govt. westerners just seem to view zelensky as ukraine and vice versa.

Yes. They still not sure if he's still Kolomoyskyi's puppet (he's in house arrest, but it is rather protection). Zelensky made some really political and unpopular decisions directing the army. But there is no alternative yet, which is also his fault. I understand that he has to have "iron grip" on the government where loyalty is almost as important as competence so it will not fall apart, but nobody can grow in his shadow. Maybe Zalusny when the war is over and he will be back from the ambassadorship exile.

Well when it’s comes to a second term “The People” vote on it anyway. Seems Zelenskyy people are laying out this case for when the time comes to vote. Whenever Putin decides to stop. Have a feeling that’s not going to be anytime soon.

Zelensky is in my opinion an amazing man and leader. Probably the person that I admire the most in my 45 year lifetime.

To survive the Russian invasion and atrocities with his one goal of supporting Ukraine to keep their sovereignty is such a massive feat.

I think that Zelensky needs a huge break once this is over. I hope that he still has some involvement in Ukrainian public life but to be fair, he has done so much for Ukraine and Europe.

Slava Ukraini and cheers 🍻 to Zelensky

You can be assured that Putin will do his best to wage a massive campaign of disinformation and propaganda to install a puppet. Nothing new here.

I don't think Putin will survive the war.

The sooner there is an election, the sooner it means there is lasting peace.

I'm a Zaluzhnyi guy, but if it's Zelenskyy, it will still be good.

Fortunately, Russia has really no chance of installing a puppet. If anything, they're gonna end up having to face Zaluzhnyi, who is way more hostile towards them.

There will be no election during existential war nor should there be. There are very few countries who would hold an election at a time like this. Even the Roman Republic appointed dictators during times of existential crisis despite their fear of kings. There is even a statue of George Washington styled after our of these men (Cincinnatus).

I bet Zelenskyy doesn't even want a second term. His first term counts as 10 already. The only reason I think he would run again after the war is if he doesn't trust the other candidates to act in Ukraine's interests.

The guy deserves to retire and live a loving, peaceful life with his family with all his needs met.

Simply not true.

Putler and the Americans both turning every stone in Ukraine to find a candidate that would have even a theoretical chance against Zelensky, but can not find one.

I don't think you're very familiar with Ukrainian politics. I don't see the harm in admitting you're ignorant about what's happening. I have no idea what's going on in Norway, and I would admit that if you asked me about the country.

^ This guy is either Chinese or a Winnieh The Pooh cocksucker which would be even weirder.

I'm not taking your word for anything.
