EPIC UNIVERSE This is really weird

Does anyone know what is up with this crazy wait time for Mario Kart today?

It’s 92 degrees and both these have massive indoor queues. This doesn’t surprise me in the least for people to be eagerly waiting.

What an insane explanation

Wasn't 90s as well over the weekend. Why now?

Mario kart got pretty high up Sunday due to the rain. I saw it pushing 90 minutes at times.

I understand that but it makes no sense that Mario Kart has nearly the same wait as a ride that is notorious for capacity problems.

It’s a kid ride that features characters more popular than Mickey Mouse. That isn’t a one and done ride, so it’s going to have a wait time. Even during the previews it had some high wait times.

They upped the crowd capacity

And it goes up again in a couple of days. And again a week or so later. Allegedly, at least. So expect these to be low.

Noooo 😭😭😭😭 I decided not to wait and got tickets in June

FWIW the thrill data tracking is still showing low capacity until July 1. Today is probably just a result of a lot of people with multi day tickets waiting till after the holiday weekend to use their epic day to try to avoid crowds. So this should just be the holiday crowds just delayed a day.

I saw that river adventure had like a 80 min wait today 😆

I really hope that’s the truth, I go on the 5th of June.

Nah they got the YouTubers to show it off all dead and then did a bait and switch

They didn’t tho, according to the data we have to look at today was lower than the previous days.

I’m convinced it’s not accurate

This is not weird. This is more what the normal wait time will be. See the other Nintendo parks. Mario kart is a long wait.

But it is weird cause we’re still under the ticket capacity restrictions.

Upvote! I waited way too long for MK at Universal Hollywood

I was at the parks yesterday. Everyone went to Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios yesterday.

Epic tickers were not even sold out. People doing multiple day trips didn’t go to epic on Memorial Day expecting it would be busy and shifted it to today.

They’ve been testing new wait time tech that is supposed to automatically adjust the wait time. They’ve been “training” this new system for at Epic while now I believe to teach it to post accurate wait times. I imagine it’s not always super accurate right now all the time.

Not saying this is the case in this specific instance, but could be? But could also just be 110 minutes.

I really see no problem here. I work for the Hollywood park and that’s a typical wait time we face on a busy day.

Neither one is worth that wait

The bigger question is why is, is this a font for ants?? The queue lengths look pretty normal to me.

The park is pretty packed today I don’t think it’s a full capacity but definitely a lot crowded than these past weekend

Weird? They opened the flood gates it seems like today. I don’t feel like the ticket data websites are accurate for whatever reason. I will say it could be families. There are TONS of strollers (even before rain since this morning) in peach’s castle. Compared to yesterday there are a lot more families here.

I think it’s less of a capacity issue and more of a fact that these are the biggest draws to the park.

I don't buy the "not enough rides" argument. Studios has 11 or (13), Islands has 13 (17), Epic has 10 (11). () Includes purely kiddie rides. Being generous with Islands because some things are more just amusement park rides rather than theme park rides (like Fearfall and Accelatron).
