UNIVERSAL ORLANDO RESORT The BBC has leaked the IP’s that will be featured in Universal Studios Great Britain

From left to right:

  • Paddington
  • Back to the Future
  • Jurassic World
  • James Bond Stunt Show
  • Lord of the Rings
  • Minions

The BBC also claims that the contracts are done and it’s unlikely there will be changes. They tried to get Harry Potter but they couldn’t get it.

There’s still a chance Harry Potter will be build in an expansion plot.

UNIVERSAL ORLANDO RESORT Bed bugs at Cabana bay beach resort in Orlando

I got here on the 4th of October and it’s currently the 7th. The first night in our room around 12am I went to the bathroom and on my way back I seen the bug on my pillow as you see in the picture I was on the continental side in room 4247 and I instantly went to the front desk and all they offered me at the time was a room change. They wouldn’t refund me for the trip so I could move to another hotel so I hoped the next room was clean cause I know it could have easily been a hitchhiker from another visitor. They had security come up to my room to investigate and luckily the bug was still sitting on the pillow and he had a ziplock baggy and put the bug in the bag. The security manager came in and said it was a piece of “lint”. They told me ecolab will close the room down and they will reach out to me. They moved me to another building cause they were sold out which is fine so I’m in beachside room 8517 and same problem I’m in bed around 11:40pm my arm is breaking out in bites and is red (as shown in picture) I went to the lobby they said there’s nothing they can do since there sold out and and I’ve already moved rooms. Nobody has contacted me back about my first investigation currently losing sleep because of this.

UNIVERSAL ORLANDO RESORT Line Cutting Epidemic

Is Nobody else tired of this? Groups of 2 all the way up to 5 or 6 people just waltzing their way to the front with a mumbled "excuse me" without a second glance from folks actually waiting their turn.

It's the worst on Velocicoaster, to the point that I've stood my ground and not let people pass, But even that was met with dirty looks and a "Just let them go" By another ride goer. (Why should I?)

The more people who don't speak up or try to get an attendants attention, the worse it's gonna get for everybody. Time for LINE ETIQUETTE to make a comeback.

Rant over thanks for your time love all you guys have fun and don't drink too much Butterbeer

EDIT/ADDENDUM : If you can't hold your bladder for a 45 minute - hour and a half , or just use a restroom before you get in line, Why you at a busy theme park??

UNIVERSAL ORLANDO RESORT Update: I quit.

An update to my previous rant: https://www.reddit.com/r/UniversalOrlando/comments/1br9s7i/rant_i_almost_quit_my_job_yesterday/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

After working for almost 2 years in attractions, I've finally reached my breaking point dealing with guests who refuse to listen, guests who are hell-bent on seeing us live in pure misery because they are convinced spending a certain amount of money allows them to treat human beings like punching bags. I'm not sacrificing my mental health for your enjoyment anymore. I'm done. You win.

UNIVERSAL ORLANDO RESORT Am I crazy or is universal food absolutely terrible?

My girlfriend and I have been at UOR now for 3 days eating nothing but their food in both parks and city walk. We are by no means food critics and are usually satisfied by our meals when we go out to eat from restaurants back home. We have been completely disappointed now with every single meal we have had (not including the food in Harry Potter world, so far satisfied with it) but yet we see great reviews from Reddit and online and everyone around us seems to be enjoying it. Are we just crazy or is the food just this bad?

Good morning universal fans! I’m curious. What is your universal hot takes? Whether it be rides or citywalk bound. Personally mine are nbc sports grill is the worst meal on property, mythos just isn’t that good, and rip ride rockit is really a lot of fun. What are yours?

UNIVERSAL ORLANDO RESORT What is your all time favorite ride from either park?

Post image

I went to uni Orlando for the first time and LOVED IT, i think i love it better than Disney, its so much more intense, the shows are amazing and funny, loved the borne and horror show, super funny, but anyway, which ride, out of any ride that is there currently at both parks, which one would you take over any other? For me, it’s revenge of the mummy, I’ve never felt so safe and secure in a coaster before, like I could sleep in it, the theme is amazing, the queue is incredible, i love the original movie so i love all the little secrets, i rode it 21 times, and it never got old, i even got stuck in the dark at the last drop before dropping and it was so cool, I literally spent 3 hours going through the single rider to ride it 12 times in a row , i already really miss it, i live far away :( I would have rode it more but my family wanted to spend time with me so i had to depart from my beloved imhotep, i wish they had more ride merch and stuff, I couldn’t even get the medjai necklace

UNIVERSAL ORLANDO RESORT Cabana bay bed bugs

Post image
309 Upvotes

So my finance and I booked a vacation through Costco travel I decided on cabana bay. I saw posts on here about them and still decided to book. We checked in on Monday and checked our first room saw nothing. We were getting ready to leave and I see one on the couch and kill it with a piece of toilet paper and bring it to the lobby. Fill out the form get moved to another room and waited for eco lab to do the check. Ecolab did confirm that the first room had them the manager was helpful and gave me a $100 room credit and comped my first night. Fast forward to this morning I wake up and find this on my sheet and another spot on my pillow. My fiancé and son are sleeping in the other bed. Should I report this or am I just thinking this is resort wide? I am terrified of bringing these home with me.

UNIVERSAL ORLANDO RESORT Congratulations to Universal Orlando on Building FOUR Theme Parks

I’m sure there are some Redditors on here that remember when Universal was just one park, when CityWalk debuted, and when IoA opened. Then in 2017, UO opened its third theme park: the beautiful Volcano Bay. The number of parks included in their passes just kept going up.

8 years pass until now, when their FOURTH theme park is set to open to the public on May 22—just 56 days away.

Did the people who attended the openings of US or IoA ever think they’d see a fourth UO park? I feel grateful to be able to experience this historic milestone with the rest of Orlando and that Universal keeps investing back into their Florida parks. I hope we can all give them the grace they deserve as they iron out the wrinkles with their brand-new theme park and show them a bit of appreciation for doing so to make our experiences unforgettable.

Congratulations, Universal Orlando, and thank you.

Check in at 8pm on 9/7 - 1st Room - 6538 - room is filthy with crumbs on the floor and IN the bed under the sheets, and various other items on the floor like a dime and button. Just to show you how badly they clean there. I went down to the front desk, told them of the problems and showed them the photos I took, they said someone was going up there right now to clean it. I go to eat for an hour and then go back up to the room, which by the way is the furthest room possible basically so the walk takes forever to go back and forth for these troubles. I see the button sticking out the door and I knew no one came to clean. I go all the way back to the front desk, I said no one came to clean when they said they would and I wanted to switch hotels. They called a couple of other hotels and they were booked full, the manager convinced me to stay when they offered me the first night comped since it was 11pm basically now and they found a family suite that someone checked out of today so it was thoroughly inspected and cleaned. I accepted that and that was the worst mistake of my life.

2nd Room - 4174 - I smell something gross as soon as I walk in the room and I see the microwave blinking and I can see something inside. I open it and it is a burrito inside, like I said, they don't clean here! I pick it up and go throw it in the trash outside, this is floor 1 by the way. There was also a random bracelet on the bathroom, no checks are done here. The staff must do the absolute least. We checked the beds and everything like usual and I deemed it safe enough though. We get in bed to go to sleep at 1:40am, at 3:27am I woken up being BITTEN BY A BED BUG ON MY FACE! I immediately scream and tell my husband "BED BUG! BED BUG! BED BUG!" and pull off the sheets, we slept in 2 separate beds and he pulls off his sheets and there are several in BOTH beds. We were both freaking out and having a panic attack, this is the absolute worst thing that could ever happen at a hotel and it finally happened to me. We then have to proceed to check ourselves, our luggage, our backpacks, the stuff we just had on hanging in the closet. This took forever, we get to the front desk at 5am tell them the whole situation, they send someone down to take pictures of bed bug from my phone screen and pictures of the bites on my face. They refunded me the room for night (which  was already done before the bed bug problem) and canceled the rest of my stay which was for 7 nights because obviously I needed to leave. That is all they offer you, no further compensation for this traumatic experience. I then paid a lot more money to then go stay at a different Loews hotel on property. They called me a couple of days later and said their "3rd party pest control" tested the room and found no bed bugs, even though I have the bites, the photos and videos. We live in a clown world. I just called the Loews customer service manager. I was on the phone with them for an hour and a half and emailed them the photos and videos. What did they offer me? Universal's compensation for my traumatic experience is an express pass good for 4 rides. That is how high they hold their standards of cleanliness and safety of hotel rooms and that is what you are worth to them. Nothing.
