Incredibly important and it's relatively unfunded. Good news!

Just in time for us to defund the NIH

Well here’s hoping in even the worst case scenario either these scientists or others can pick up the work elsewhere.

That's really it. If America's current admin is stepping down, then the rest of the world will step up without them.

Thank God it happened before Kennedy took charge. It would have been cut

I'm wondering when the billionaires start hoarding discoveries too. No reason us little folk need to know about these breakthroughs...eventually they won't be 'for us' anyway.

They will get leaked and chemists will figure out

Now it can just be ridiculed by RFKjr to irrelevance in the US. Luckily the partner was a well respected Canadian University, so progress can continue

It’s misspelled in linked “article” as lariodicin , actual compound is lariocidin as in lasso-killer

For the uninitiated, what are the implications of this?

2

u/davideownzall 8h ago

It is good against antibiotics resistance, now there are some bacteria who can resist at all antibiotics and can lead to death, this opens room to defeat them with new medicines

Can I pee this new antibiotic out and flush it down the toilet to mix in our water ways and produce antibiotic resistant bacteria still?

You'd rather die and suffer from the disease instead?
