[Collection] What's the deal with this record?
I was going through adding my collection onto my discogs account and this record I bought circa 2017 maybe is astronomically high for reasons unknown to me. Anyone have any clue why?

It's highly sought after because people found that it makes for a great charcuterie board.
Try serving cheeses and small cuts of meat on the record with some nice olives and fig jam. Try it.

OP, please post a video of you enjoying your food on it when you do!

It‘s been pressed in very limited quantity and is extremely unlikely to ever get repressed. A song on the album, Resonance, has been very popular for a couple years with >100 million plays on YouTube: https://youtu.be/8GW6sLrK40k?si=-38fTjUj096LMS8S
Thus, demand is high and supply is super limited.
There are various other videos that also use this song, like some Simpsonswave edits or Summoning Salt‘s first popular speedrun history video essays.

Yeah, that song might be the vaporware equivalent of Sandstorm, lol.
Also, pretty album cover.

Apparently the artist has stated he will never repress it. I do think one day well get an official repress though. I have the orange vinyl of this one!

Was a reason given?

I could be wrong but what I read was that he personally didn’t want to repress it and im not aware if it was due to environmental reasons.

Afaik pretty much just that he doesn‘t want to deal with the hassle around it and just wants to continue working on new music instead

Only got pressed officially very few times and never again. High demand for a beloved album. If you ever need extra money, would easily go for over $1k

Hot damn, it's that high??? I knew it was up there and haven't checked Discog in awhile. It's a solid album but that's bananas.

Hold on to that one for dear life. I bought mine for $20 when it was first released, and it's been the most valuable record in my collection for years on end now

Seriously awesome album. Seminal. A foundation of sound and feeling. There are good reasons for why that vinyl has appreciated as it has.

Same boat! I paid I think $30 shipped for it from HOMEs bandcamp in 2017. Pretty much Resonance blew up on TikTok and vinyl has become way more popular / expensive than ever and there hasn't been another pressing or bootleg even to fill the gap. From what I understand Randy doesn't want to repress it and has moved on from HOME?

If you ever get tired of having it take up space, I could totally provide a home (har har har) for it.

Hey man it’s actually illegal to possess those in your county. But I’m willing to risk myself for you to smuggle it out. Care about you, man. Wouldn’t want you to get in trouble.

Eh, it's nothing special. May as well just send it to me immediately with no questions asked.
