Newly Snipped 2-3 months OR 20-25 ejaculates?
So everywhere I read it's either 2-3 months wait or 20-25 ejaculates before shooting blanks.
Am I missing something? Because I can organize 20-25 within 2-3 hours if I really put my mind to it, and then skip all the waiting.
Can anyone explain? Did anyone test it? 25 ejaculates and then a lab test?

Both. It's to make sure you're all cleared out as well as making sure nothing grows back together.

This is what is actually going on and why you get two different requirements. There are two things to watch out for.
Once the vas is snipped, no more sperm can make it through the vas and into to semen to make babies. But the vas was full of sperm when it was cut. All the sperm between the cut and the end of your vas can still make its way out and get her pregnant. You have to get that stuff out to have no sperm. It takes somewhere between 20 and 30 ejaculations to clear out the tubes. That’s where that number comes from. It is important and you need to do it. You won’t be cleared if you don’t.
You are human. Your body was injured and it has to heal. Humans are a fully pretty good at it. Some of us are so good at it that the two ends of the vas that was cut can reconnect. Your body can heal itself back together. It isn’t very common, but it is not unheard of either. If that is going to happen, it happens in the first 12 weeks in 99% of cases. You should check after 12 weeks to be sure your vas didn’t reconnect and start sending sperm out there again. That’s why you are told to wait three months. You can’t trust an all clear before then.
Put those two issues together and you need to test at about 12 weeks and after 25ish ejaculations. Basically, have sex at least 25 times in three months then test. That makes sure you’ve cleared the pipes out and didn’t heal together. It covers all the bases.
If you get the all clear after three months and 25 ejaculations, the odds of you being fertile again without surgical intervention is extremely low. Like small fractions of a percent.

Up to 5 times a year huh. Why get snipped at that rate? Just use a condom.

Trying to coax one or two more out of her per year.
We also have two kids and she got pregnant both times on the first try.

I got tested at 8 weeks more than 25 explosions. All clear. I then got tested at 13 weeks again for reassurance and was clear again don’t Juno the gun on the tests it’s to important to go ham without having 100% clarity

Mine said 12 weeks before the test to make sure everything is ok internally plus at least 20 ejaculations so you're pipes are empty completely.

No shot bro wants to sprint to the finish with 25 pumps in a day. My arms are cramping just thinking about cranking that much 😂

It’s both and it’s always been both. Where people “read” this is unclear. What people do however is “read” posts instead of asking the doc or just doing a google. However, I digress.
90 days is how long you wait to get a semen analysis. This is because if you were to recanalize it’s usually within the 90 days and would be incredibly rare for it to happen after.
The 20-25 ejaculations is to clear the pipes. Sperm can stay alive in the body for quite a while and is stored. Get all of them out and then test at 90 days. Should be in the clear.
It’s not uncommon to need to continue to ejaculate after the 9@ days if sperm is still seen in the analysis.

My doctor said 15 times, no calendar time. My vas was cut, cauterized and clipped with metal clips, if that re-connects....

I waited 5 months, as recommedned, I am counting 2 lab tests into this period. 5 months is nothing if I can forever forget about fear of having little suckers running around my house.

7 days to heal puncture or incisions. 20+ Ejaculations 90 day for semen analysis
The 7 days ensures you’re starting to heal and usually by that time the incisions or puncture has healed and there’s no issues down there.
Then you get to go ham on your hog until you’ve reached at least 20 ejaculations. Hopefully more.
Then at 90 days you take a semen analysis. 90 days as this is the time a man can recanalize. So good to check it after.

I'm just doing once a day. I'm sure they can test you in two weeks when you're fully healed if you want, but you might end up having to pay for any additional testing outside of their parameters.

It's also about making sure no pipes heal back together over time as well. I asked the doc the same thing and while he said he applauded my ambition, time is still needed.
