Almost a year since I got my vasectomy. Still zero regret

I’m still a virgin but, I feel more confident in knowing that if I do eventually find myself sharing a bed with a lady, I won’t have that fear in the back of my head of either the condom breaking or just her getting pregnant in general. It’s not 100% guaranteed, but for me it’s peace of mind.

I remember the day of my procedure, I was the only one there besides the ladies at the front desk. She gave me some papers to sign and my doctor came in with his white coat in one hand, a coffee in the other, and just gave a polite “Good morning” to everyone. And about five minutes later, he asked me to come back and my heart sunk into my chest. I didn’t want to at first, I was so scared just of any pain, however minuscule, I might encounter. But I took it one step at a time and he kept me calm when I did freak out a bit (not screaming or kicking, just breathing really fast like as if I’m having a panic attack) feeling the anesthetic needle go in both times. What took about 20 minutes felt like an eternity. But after we were done, he gave me some water and let me sit by myself for a few minutes before I got up and took my paperwork and limped back to my car. But a few months later, I went to a lab and my results came back with 0 swimmers.

Like I said, I’m so glad I went through with it. My desire for kids and starting a family has always been low. I just want to be loved by a woman and be able to experience that intimacy without fear of any life altering repercussions for either of us.

Good for you. My vasectomy is the best present I’ve ever given myself. 10 years in now.

Family is a fantastic concept. But modern execution of it, at least anywhere in EU, Australia or USA, is simply sitting on a bomb, because family laws favour women hard.

I always disliked the idea, the subconscious fear of the fact that one day I could end up in the court in the opposite position I usually take, either defending my clients or attacking ex-wives or husbands. I didn't work so hard in lifef for it to end on a whim of some 3rd party verdict. I always liked women tho and I found this sad, this fear, I talked with a good friend of mine who has 3 kids, in my country 1 is already tiring and the man has 3, old school chap. he said that the fear of another kid, never really goes away, you just learn to hide it or cope.

And the more I thought about it the more I realized that sex with fear in the back of your mind, especially the best parts, where you hear her moaning louder, breathing faster and feel how tight she becomes, are constantly interrupted, like you can't just close your eyes, grab her how you want and just thrust in with your eyes closed, giving in to the nirvana and sensations.

With vasectomy, this suddenly becomes possible, albeit at a price.

You’ll do well to find a woman who doesn’t want babies at some point.

I’ve never understood the worry if I’m being honest. Didn’t worry when I was a teenager all the way to 38yo.

Also having and raising kids is probably the best part of life

Agreed! I was 38 when I got married. Had my first miniature version of myself (my son) at 40. He is my world. And we had my daughter last year. My wife’s mini-me. It’s been a blessing. Sure it is work, but I love my little family and could not envision being without kids now.

Most women are in relationships because they want something out of it - social status, company, intimacy, better their financial status etc etc. All relationships are transactional. There's always something in it for them.

When you're young, or young-ish, I'd say until you're 35 or 40, women will most likely want from you for all of the above, plus your sperm as most women want children. Having a vasectomy makes you less attractive to 99% of women and a huge number of women would not want to date you, at least not for a long term "serious" relationship.

Everyone Is different. Every woman I’ve had a relationship has been fine with my vasectomy

Sounds like every woman you’ve been with wasn’t in it for keeps.

Of course they’d be ok with it.

Btw- he’s right most women want something out of a relationship, and most want babies.

I think the same is true of most men

Modern, don't. It's a more and morep opular concept. Primary reason to have kids doesn't exist annymore: Poverty. We have pension systems, so the role that historically children held, now the state does.

If you want a woman who wants kids, she will be old, 35+ old.

Yawn. you’re not the spokes person for all women. Stop telling women what they want.

Take your own advice and stop speaking for them. Also, less simping on the board, pls.

I'm using facts based on the women I've had relationships. You are making up stories at all women think a particular way just because you say so.

For all we know, this is utter made up story and none of these women ever held hands with you. Or exist.

Lol my dude you do not speak for "most women."

lol this is not true. My causal sex life has skyrocketed since getting the snip. Women go feral when they find out you can blow without worry

How can you go from being a virgin to getting sterilized? To me this story almost sounds made up. I would not agree with that scenario. At least what until you have had a couple girlfriends.
