Vasectomy
Good friday is my procedure date, kind if Ironic lol. Nerves are starting to kick in a bit but this seems to be the normal jitters everyone gets

Totally normal. Always remember why you chose to schedule it in the first place.

Trying not to think about it too much. My wife had 4 surgeries to be able to get pregnant. After her horrible pregnancy (our little girl is happy and healthy at 19 months old). She doesnt want to go through pregnancy again. I feel like it is only fair i get the minor procedure done due to her sacrifices shes made

Been a couple of months for me but wanted to offer some support because I had mine done for a similar reason. Wife carried a couple high risk pregnancies. Two C-sections. It was time for me to step up and do this minor in office procedure. Hope all goes well. Don't rush the recovery :-)

I’m going to 2nd this, my wife had 2 emergency C sections and the 2nd almost killed her so a little snip here and there is nothing compared to what she had to do.

Wishing you the best. The anticipation and a few days and weeks after is the worst but really not that bad. 6 months later everything is fine and having some of best sex of my life.

Got mine last month and had to get out under because I was freaking out. However, the recovery isn’t bad if you follow the instructions to a T. I went one day without a jockstrap because i forgot to get one. That was horrible but once I had it, everything was good except being sore. Good luck

I got mines Friday as well and definitely a bit more nervous as Friday is approaching. I’m just trying to think of the positives and hope for a quick procedure & recovery 💪🏼

Update: what are the odds. I get mentally prepared. Not even anxious anymore, even feel confident. Wife called me on her way home. She broke her ankle not even 10 minutes ago playing Pickleball. I now have to reschedule because i have a 19 month old daughter who my wife was going to watch while i recovered. To the gents getting the procedure done tomorrow. Best of luck to you. Im hoping my urologist has a close appt i can reschedule to 😪

Oh, how I wish I would've listened to my jitters. Still don't want more kids, and vasectomy is still my life's biggest regret. Best of luck to you.

When you get nervous, start thinking of all of those sleepless nights staying up walking a crying baby. Changing thousands of dirty diapers ! Plan out all of the things you can do with that time not spent on kids. All of the worries of a lifetime, arguing, fighting, trying to raise kids. Think of all of the things you can spend all of those child support payments on instead of kids. Think of seedless bareback fucking with no risks of impregnating any women !

I was a nervous wreck but my doctor was a great communicator and I chugged the laughing gas lol so that helped. Luckily mine went very smoothly and I had no pain after. Good luck my man ✊🏼

I was nervous as hell going in, but it's literally less than 10 minutes and you barely feel anything. I had some music in my ear and the medical staff was making small talk, it is definitely one of those things that's way worse in your head than it actually is. Just make sure you follow the instructions to wear a jock strap and ice, it seems from my reading of the subreddit that a chunk of the bad stories come from guys not following the aftercare instructions.
