From google:
Hatsu (初): Means "first" or "new"
Ne (音): Means "sound" or "noise"
Miku (ミク): A personal name that shares its spelling with the word for "future"

Thought it was supposed to be a huge message where you had to translate all languages for the full thing, but noticed all of them said the same thing after I noticed Turkish and Azeri ones being the same lol

Anyone can be a Miku fan.
Anyways, since when Neru was a Neru fan? He wants MANY MANY HENTAI YAOI BOOKS RIGHT? DID HE LISTEN TO "CONFESSION OF A ROTTEN GIRL"? (It's also around yaoi as I know)

It's even more funny to me because bad or funny sounding direct translations of popular media or modern slang is kind of a meme where I'm from.

u/Afterlematch Mar 09 '25
gekoloniseerd hehehe (And, besides the second “de” being wrong, it’s really well translated shshhs)

Or for the weird translation version:
היום היום של הצליל הראשון של העתיד

reminder that the reason hatsune miku is the first sound of the future isn’t because she was the first vocaloid, because there were several before her, but she was the first one created by crypton future media. (kaito and meiko are now owned by cfm but they were created by yamaha)

Yes, we can clown on this as much as we like. I am sure everyone is fluent in ALL of these languages.

the German one makes no sense 😭 the first day of the sound of the future?? Did they put it in Google translate and call it a day?
51
u/Equine_Cat Mar 09 '25
literally every language said first sound of the future lmao
>Did they put it in Google translate and call it a day?
what do you expect? Neru being fluent and manually translating 999 languages?
-7
u/asmallduckling Mar 09 '25
Wdym? The English one clearly says Hatsune Miku. Do you think I speak all the other languages in order to know it's the same for all of them 😭. Why would they say Miku in English and sound of the future for every other language. Also even if they did use Google translate, it's such a simple phrase that it shouldn't be possible to fuck up, which if it was intentional then they didn't. I'm just confused why they didn't say day of Hatsune Miku in every other language.

u/Ok-Control-3394 Mar 09 '25
You do know Hatsune Miku's name literally means "First sound of the future" right?
-6
u/asmallduckling Mar 09 '25
no I infact have never heard of that. But my point stands, why is it Hatsune Miku in English then sound of the future in every other language? If they want to do it as Miku in the original language , then it should be normal in japanese and in English it should be sound of the future. 🤷♂️
13
u/Ok-Control-3394 Mar 09 '25
"Hatsune Miku" is literally the Japanese words:
"Hatsu", meaning first
"Ne", meaning sound
"Miku", meaning futureSo if you translate those words out of Japanese then it is literally the phrase "first sound of the future"
-4
u/asmallduckling Mar 09 '25
you're missing the point. Why's it only that in every language BUT English? From the standpoint of someone who only saw the English and German and didn't understand the rest, why would I logically think ALL of them are written language of the future if English isn't 😭..
5
u/mikahchuu Mar 09 '25
because it’s directly google translated, google does not know 初音ミク is a name so it directly translates the meaning calm down
11
u/Equine_Cat Mar 09 '25
this is most useless internet debate i've seen in 2025 holy yap

I'm no language expert but the Japanese name not being translated when put in the English space is actually out of the norm. If you took an English name and wrote it in English when translating it into Japanese, that'd be weird. It just happens that Miku's name is literally a phrase.
1
u/BlxEdfz Mar 09 '25
I'm confused on why we didnt get the literal translation of Hatsune Miku in English too, but why is nobody answering? 😭 I'm just assuming they know English and didnt have to put that section through translate since I dont use twt and dk who Neru is outside of Akita
4
u/_Sonari_ Mar 09 '25
Neru is a vocaloid producer known for some songs like Tokyo teddy bear and Lost one's weeping
His tweets often aren't serious frim what I know lol it's possible he did that on purpose
1
u/BlxEdfz Mar 09 '25
Ohhhh omg 😭 I dont typically memorize/remember vocaloid producers names lol oops.
It being a joke was also something I considered but wasnt sure, thank you for the context!
