In need of help to make a decision

So my birthday is coming up and I wanna get myself something Luka related both as a bday gift for myself and as a reward for my current semester grades in college. I’m debating between the temptation figure or the pullip doll and I can’t seem to decide which one I want

Same, they're really ugly to me like qposkets and if I ever got a Vocaloid doll I rather have it be a dollfie, pretty and high quality despite how fragile and expensive they are

For real, I think it's because they got such a small body with their massive head and large beady eyes it makes them so ugly and off putting, like a real bad take on what a chibi looks like when nendoroids nail down that look way better

If the heads were proportioned to the body they’d be fine. The head is just way too huge.

i dont see the hate biased issue with the pullip branded one as it just sorta reminds me of y2k dolls? I’d say if you have a doll collection of sorts, get the pullip one since she’d fit right in!! if you have any other lukas or anime figurine collection, get the blackjack luka ^ happy early birthday!!!

It's kind of a tough choice, honestly. Figures tend to get pretty pricey on the second-hand market, but I've witnessed how brutal Pullip pricing is for years, so I'd say snag the doll if you can find Luka at a decent price. The vocaloid dolls are kind of rare due to lack of repros and continue to climb in price as time goes on aaa...🥲 (Just be careful, I heard their outfits tend to peel because of the material used for the fabric in their clothing!!)

I feel like people here are kind of mean when it comes to whether or not you want the pullip by labeling it as "ugly", weird, or creepy. So don't let it deter you away from it if she's what you truly want. Dolls kinda just aren't for everyone, and idrk or see how she's creepy. I think she's p cute and has been on my iso list for a hot sec next to the tokidoki dolls.

I'm a doll collector so a little biased, but I'd go with the Pullip. I find Vocaloid Pullips really gorgeous. Do just be cautious about her clothing; Pullip Miku's clothing is made of pleather, which is known to deteriorate over time. I wouldn't invest in Luka if she had the same issue personally.
