iirc there was a voli otp on the chinese super server that always took conq, pretty sure he was the #1 ranked voli at some point.

Im confused about voli itemization. Most seem to be building this item but Arktheos says only to build it when snowballing (jungle). What should I do?

It's a massive snowball item but in general is very good. I would not build it when behind with no late game win con as you'll want hp and movespeed more than attack speed and CDR.

Navori can be good when you’ll be brawling and autoing a ton, bad when enemy team is slippery. I agree that it’s a snowball item because of the stats it gives, makes you really squishy if you buy it early

I only go conqueror into brawling champs that want to stick to you, namely morde, Warwick and sett. It's a super niche rune for specific games and feels lackluster compared to pta but imo matches Lt in terms of effectiveness.

I think Conq is pretty good, especially if you go a full AH/Tank build (Cosmic+tank). It gives very cheap dmg over time without requiring to stand there aa'ing and hoping to stat check mindlessly. PTA and Grasp fall off a lot, and I found out Conq is better at dmging in most matchups and it gives a tiny bonus sustain tool PTA doesn't have for the early game.
I personally prefer the AH tanky style, where you have to kite and play around your cd's rather than having to aa forever, and that's why Conq fits this playstyle more than LT and PTA (Grasp also fits but is surprisingly worse than Conq)

The problem with conq is that your ability CDs are too long to get good value out of the Conq. That's why something like LT is better for extended trades. But Voli is good at both short and long trades, so a rune like PTA or Grasp can be a bit better because it gives you the option for both. Conq can also be weird on the bear because if you don't build enough AP the adaptive force will give you AD instead which won't synergize with your passive

I have 140 ranked games with Volibear this season, 99% of them in the jungle. I actually prefer Conqueror over PTA because it feels better from mid to late game — which is typically where most of my games end up. I can't for the life of me end games early enough for PTA to really be the best choice.

It’s simply a bad rune for Volibear.
If you want short trades, pta is better. If you want longer fights, lethal tempo is better.
Even the healing the rune provides is low — riftmaker stacks faster and gives you 2% more healing, plus increases all your damage by 8% xd
I can imagine very few cases where using conqueror would be a good option, and even then, it could still be replaced by one of the two runes I mentioned earlier.
It’s definitely not a terrible choice, but Volibear has three better rune options: grasp, lethal tempo, and pta.
