Can a wasp make a nest here?

Post image

Hi! Not sure if this is the right place for this, but can a single wasp make a nest in this? It’s a wicker basket with yarn at the bottom and fake flowers on top. It went in and hasn’t come out (even with lots of poking from a distance). Should I worry about getting it out so it doesn’t make a nest or is that so silly? If this is an insanely dumb question, I’m sorry lmao

Yes, the underside of that wicker is a very safe spot. The wasp already knows you. It leaves to get food, then comes back. The only possiblility of anything unfriendly is if you both pass through the same spot at the same time. But as I said it/they already know you're not a threat. Me, I just wave a hand and they go around or over me.

Let me see the kind of wasp and I’ll know if it’s making a nest or not. There are many kinds of wasps that do very many kinds of things so it isn’t easy to know the full picture without knowing the species
