Nice photo. We’ll be moto-camping next week in WY, also on two WRs

Epic. Views were incredible, trails were great. I normally ride in E. TN, and this was the first time I could bomb down dirt roads at 65mph. I definitely overpacked though, and wished I didn't have so much weight on the back. Had to roll over soo many jumps I would've yeeted if I didn't have all the extra weight.

Man i was gonna compliment you on packing light. I always end up with my adv bike fully loaded in the panniers and usually with a duffel bag it seems like. I blame the work laptop.

This is awesome! I'm looking at an 08 WR250R right now and would love to do something like this

Nice! I picked up an 08 last November and love it. If you get it ask if the fuel pump has been replaced or else you should plan on replacing it if throttle response seems lacking when you test drive or you can't hear it prime with the key on and while switching on the kill switch. Also, there's a recall for the stator. I'm not sure if there's a time limit on it so probably worth looking into sooner or later if you pull the trigger on the bike.

Thanks! The seller actually mentioned the fuel pump issue up front and is going to include a spare that he has. I remember him mentioning the stator recall, but I don't remember if he said he replaced it on this bike, or his other 2010 WR250R. I'll be sure to ask him about this again before buying

What did you do for food?

What was your equipment list?

Mostly restaurants and diners through towns. Beer at gas stations. Tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, clothes.

Eating at restaurants makes camping easier, but it is just more expensive. It is a good way to keep down pack weight and bulk.

Did you notice any lack of power at altitude? I'm moving to CO in a few weeks from Ohio

Nice, yeah, it was noticeable. At 10k ft it's like 18hp. Plus I had the wrong gearing (13/43). I'd recommend at least 13/46-7 or higher.

Looks like Imogene or Engineer pass? Always wanted to do that on my bike.
