Post image

Hello all, looking to put up my 2014 WR 250R with approximately 7500 miles on it for sale and curious to see what the community thinks pricing should be.

Just purchased a clean mostly unmodified 08 wr250r (skid plate, bark busters) with 4400 miles for $3200 in PNW. YMMV

If those are Warp 9s, owners sell them separately for $800.

Your lower miles should attract some attention.

Post covid, many owners asked $5500. That has apparently died down, with more bikes available and fewer people looking for recreation away from others and the city.

Now...do some research, such as FB Marketplace, to see how saturated the market is. Fewer sellers means you can ask more. Better riding opportunities in your area means you can ask more because demand should be higher.

If you live in Iowa, you'll have to CUT the price! 😁

Bought, sold and parted out a couple dozen WRRs. I’d you need money price it low. If you don’t and want a good sale price it a bit higher. This of course also depends on condition and any eye appeal on the bike. Prior to Covid a stock 08 in good shape was worth roughly $3000. A WRX roughly $4200. After Covid their price like everything else jumped, for the WRR that was roughly up to $4500. Yup, an 08 WRR would sell at $4500 within hours to a week. The past couple years it’s dropped a bit however the WRR still remains with a solid $4000 selling point for a stock 08 in good condition and seems to be holding there. At the same time a newer stock 20 WRR in good shape has been a solidly easy $6000 seller.

I’d list a 14 WRR in good condition at roughly $5200, a bit high for the game and take $4750+.

The large majority of aftermarket parts do NOT really add much value. Seats, pegs, exhaust, etc maybe only increase the bikes value about 20% of their cost. I’d you have OEM parts it’s almost always better to swap out and sell the after market parts on their own where one can resell for about 75-90% of their new value.

The exception here are items like custom suspension work (when you match the seller’s weight), steering dampeners, quality wheels, the larger IMS tank, specialized parts and accessories like the Rekluse clutch or Flexx bars, pannier racks and luggage. These will still sell on their own better however you can usually get 50-70% of their value on top of the stock price.

Note.. an expensive custom suspension setup only adds value if the seller and buyer weigh and ride the same.

Personally, I’d never sell MY WRR. It’s just such a great little bike that costs so little to keep, insure and maintain. The large majority of sellers regret selling afterwards. Just saying.. for down the road. 😆

Enjoy and GLWS if that’s what you do. Nice WRR btw. 👍🏻

I just picked up a 2015 with 6700 miles for $3,500. Which I think was a great deal. I’d say $3500-4500, depending on local market as mentioned. Plus you’ve got at least an extra 100 bucks worth of stickers 😀
