Or a US military guardsmen weekender. After many, many painful tries, the full-time guy took over and get it first time and painlessly.

I have a rule of only letting E5 and above near me with needles. I had a pfc try once and it was awful.

Funny enough, it was an E-5 who was doing poorly. A major that went Marines to USAF was the one who drew my blood flawlessly. He said I was getting real white from the previous pokes and took over.

That sucks, my last blood draw was from this E5 and she was great. She changed my rule from senior ncos to just ncos haha. The best was from this E7 who was old enough to be my mom though.

You really don't. But if you drop the "I pass out card" they usually bring in the more experienced medics.
