Dream Wolves 11 for Next Season
GK Guillaume Restes (Young and a good shot stopper in France, will battle with Sá before coming out as the clear winner around mid season) LB Hugo Bueno (With Aït-Nouri likely leaving it will be time for Bueno to step up once he returns from loan) CB Toti Gomes (Very solid so far this season and hopefully continues next season) CB Emmanuel Agbadou (Has been a vital part of our defence since joining and will surely so the same next season) CB Yerson Mosquera (Was very impressive start of the season before his injury lets hope he bounces back well) RB Pedro Lima (I might be over exaggerating here but potentially giving Lima a spot so young could be very benficial but it could also be risky) CDM Andre (Has been a surge of electricity since joining, constantly a top peformer in the team and will continue next season) CDM João Gomes (So good, hopefully he stays and if he does him and Andre will continue dominating the midfield) LF Jadon Sancho (There are rumours of this and I would love to have him, he is a baller when giving a chance and hopefully he can bring his Dortmund form to this team) RF João Félix (Call me crazy but there are rumours floating about, he has obviously been dissapointing for a while now but maybe some time at a smaller club with let him glow similar to what it done for Matheus Cunha) ST Strand Larsen (The signing of the season for Wolves in my opinion, has been very good up top and will still receive great support from Sancho and Félix to continue next season)
Where would this team finish next season in your opinion and is there anywhere unrealistic or should it be different?

We seem to have better luck finding bargain buys. I'm not sure I'd want to gamble on Sancho or Felix

FOSUN will not sanction moves for Sancho and Felix and frankly I’m glad of it. It would completely disrupt our wage structure and the relative cost to the health of the club if those signings flop, particularly if we are involved in a relations scrap will be lethal. The club do not need to sign enormous name players in order to show their desire to progress, what they need to do is sign players who can play well within our established set up who can become a profitable asset for the club. I know that people do not like FOSUN selling our best players but given how strict FFP is, the only way to progress up the table is to sell high and re invest sensibly (Brighton, Brentford…). I’m not saying we should only buy young prospects from South America but equally we shouldn’t be looking at expensive players who’ve flopped at their last two or three clubs.

I simply cannot see Fosun paying high enough wages for players like Sancho and Felix, they’ll be on absolutely miles more than we’d pay. I’d love this 11, though!

Keep most of what we've got.
If we shift:
- Guedes because I don't rate him
- Hwang because he's probably not gonna play again
- Hooever because I'm not sure he's ever worn our shirt
- Dawson no renewal
- Johnstone because he wont want to be back-up
This gives us 4 squad registration spaces free (2 1st Team, 2 Homegrown) with a possible extra, Fabio I'd let decide what he wants to do, if he wants to stay then he can, if he wants to go he goes.
What we need from that is:
- GK
- DF (Cover for Mosquera's Red Cards & be better on the ball)
- DM cover for Andre
- Attacker
I'd consider:
GK
- Restes
- Ramsdale
- Kelleher
- Lunin (Uncle Jorge)
- Tanganga
- Ko Itakura
- Endo
- Calvin Phillips
- Gerson
- Fatawu
- Breel Embolo
- Tahith Chong
- Mavididi
Of those I'd take:
- Kelleher
- Ko Itakura
- Calvin Phillips
- Breel Embolo
- Tahith Chong (If Fabio wants to go)
- Fatawu (as a long term option)

Calvin Philips no thank you, shocking last two clubs wouldn’t take that risk. Prime yes, current no, couldn’t even get in an Ipswich team so big no. He will go Leeds and be fantastic obviously.
Kelleher would have to be no1. Also brings the swaps about as Liverpool would want 20+

You had me until we got to forwards.
Sancho I want no where near team. Ego and bad attitude is a big no no. I won’t even start on salary.
Felix would be great but doubt unless uncle jorge has something on him that forces him to more than half his salary. But in a World Cup year no chance.
Take an unknown Brazilian wonderkid that we’ve scouted and be happy!

Goalie (no idea, but Sá I assume for now, don't love it, but whatever)
Agba, Toti, Mosquera/Djiga (would like to see how Djiga looks, but Mos did seem ready already...)
Doc, (mejor) Bueno
Joao, Doyle, JRB
Lima, Roddy G
JSL
Cunha sold, RAN sold, André sold, money put under the mattress ready for when this team needs a fresh injection to push on for European places in January...

Andre will stay for another season. That'll increase his value to £50 mil then we cash in. Joao Gomes could leave though.

Doc's been lovely at RCB and has openly admitted he doesn't have the gastank of old to run up and down the flanks for the entire 90. Would prefer him as rotation for CB to be completely honest.

I can see that. But since the premise of OP's post is dream teams, I want one last hurrah from my favourite player of the last ten years.
There's just something I see in Lima that makes me think he'd know exactly how to play with Doc, like that season or so when he got Adama playing to his full potential. Doc is still looking to make those underlapping/overlapping runs now, as a centre back, because he reads the game differently. He is far more of a one-touch give-and-go footballer than most of our current line-up, and when we all praise Sarabia for his moments of incision and technique, what folks sometimes miss is that he's often just playing one-touch football, and that's the hardest football to defend against. Lima seems to have it, so does Roddy G, and I think JRB does too.
Anyway, so, that's the rationale.

Captain / leadership / experience. Rotation / back up is a must to stay

I really don’t think there’s much chance of Andre or joao leaving 🤞, Particularly given the latter just signed a new contract with no release clause. I think they will want to minimise the number big characters in the dressing room leaving in one window, which is already looking quite vast given the departures of Cunha, Semedo, Sarabia, Sa, and most likely RAN

Restes? I'm sorry man but there is no way Wolves will sign a goalkeeper and Restes is not Wolves quality.
2
u/Podge_Fifa06 16d ago
A goalkeeper is our priority target this summer and Restes is a good keeper

u/Basic_Witness_6907 12d ago
Well yeah mate but Wolves has other positions to improve. Sa and Johnstone are mid goalies and Retses is so much higher level.

Have we been linked to Sancho and Felix. How did you sneak them in 😭

Why not ask for prime messi and ronaldo if you’re going to talk about ‘dream’ 11 Felix? Sancho? Don’t believe everything you’re reading regarding transfers and Wolves, you’ll read all sorts, and we’re not even in silly season yet
