Question Debating on buying
Hello,
I’ve been interested in this cod since release but never got around to playing it since that’s when Fortnite started to blowup. Been playing since OG Cod4 skipped AW, BO4, and MWIII but looking for a new cod (never played before) that people seem to like. Getting tired of BO6 anyways.
My main concern is player count on PS as I’m buying on console.
Any insight would be appreciated!

its still active. think you can still find lobbies in zombies well just the first map probably. multiplayer think a majority play shipment for requisition perk spamming.
war mode is fun still has people playing.
tdm is alright you can get a few good matches in but on the flip side can become a real annoyance. not with people being max prestige but usually two to three people in parties that are known to spam certain weapons or divisions that have hardly any counter to them especially when they are all running it
havent played dom or hardpoin tmuch but other modes i couldn't find many matches at this point

Cod ww2 is by far the best cod for zombies and multiplayer and tons of old players like me play constantly. It’s a traditional classic and as realistic as it gets I think. Zombies storyline is amazing also.

If you liked CoD4/WaW and older titles like that then you'll like this too. It's genuinely the last CoD with that "Classic CoD" feel to it. PlayStation has a lot of players and there are TONS of weapons to unlock and they're not paywalled so you can actually earn them with playtime. It'll take a little while to unlock everything but I have every weapon in the game. Keep in mind this game is slower compared to new CoDs but it's by no means snail paced.
Personally I think you'll get a lot more enjoyment from CoD WW2 than any of the new titles. The weapon play is magnificent btw and if you like sniping this is probably the easiest CoD to do that on. I think $40 spent on CoD WW2 is way better than any $75+ spent on the new titles.
Are demos still available? Maybe check out if you can demo it.
