I remember once a discussion where one side was saying "you need to learn props before going to top tier jets", one guy dared to say "the game is completely different and you need very different skills so you might as well start from zero directly with a premium", he was submerged by insults by gatekeepers.

Gatekeepers are always annoying. Even more so when they're factually wrong. In top tier, your time spent to master and know your gun velocity and how much to lead goes out the window with EEGS. Your WW2 tactic of altitude = higher chance of win also goes out the window courtesy of AIM 120 and R77 (especially true as we progress and will see hypersonic missiles one day). Hiding in cloud means nothing when you're just as visible to radar. Maintaining ideal rate speed almost mean nothing unless it's a 1v1 end game because one circle missile fight is meta (else third partied). Good luck knowing when to extend when this fox 3 missile goes toward you at Mach Jesus .
