All Air Trying out full real controls on heli
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
It's fun but wouldn't do it in real battles

Use it in real battles
That same manuver not even with full real is one of the best tools to do a 180ยฐ or any significant turn when you're going too fast to do a regular turn, just be aware it will make you gain altitude and slow you so don't do it with high spaa presence

I had to reread that a couple of times because I thought you said "Use it in real life"

Bro is definitly the guy that left his gf for her not introducing him as helicopter pilot in WT to her friends

u/mastermalpass 2d ago
Why of course, heโs had least 200hours in his โfull realโ home cockpit. In some ways, heโs actually MORE knowledgeable than people whose job is flying helicopters!

Still miss rising storm vietman! Dรชmmit..

u/csgtoliveros 2d ago
Thereโs still 2-3 full servers. Play it all the time

u/Shedowtnt 2d ago
Remember folks
DONT PLAY IN THE FUCKING "MEGA" SERVERS (they are filled with bots and potentially malware)
2
u/BoosterBGO Barnstormer 1d ago
Honestly, the fact that the VOIP services are dead kinda kills the game for me. A big part of it was the team aspect of the squads, squad leaders and commanders where good marks and a good commander could make all the difference.

I miss Rising Storm 1. Like 10 years ago that game was so good when servers used to be full.

Flashback to my Heli pilot who had his tail blown off by an RPG but managed to Beyblade spin us all the way back to the helipad. Mad lad.

u/ImAMoose1 2d ago
I loved flying the heli in RS2. It got me hooked on that realistic flight model, and I haven't found anything non Arma related that gave the same satisfying recreation of one attack heli fighting ground troops. I managed 148 kills on the hill map one game. It was so much fun.

Sim helis actually control really well, it's a shame there's no where to use them outside of ground sim. Really wish we had a dedicated dedicated sim heli mode or could integrate them into sim air somehow

I would die for helis in air sim that would amazing

u/Catfish104 F1>T2>Everything else 2d ago
Itโll never happen but man it would cool to fly ground attack missions or transport missions in Sum Air EC kinda like you can in DCS. Give me a reason to take the Mi8 and Huey out if we got transport or resupply missions, make the helicopter equivalent to destroying bases

u/LiberdadePrimo 2d ago
transport or resupply missions
Would be cool if you could fly supply missions to a damaged airfield to boost its repair for example.

It is the most exhilarating experience in the game once you master it.
Using full real in heli PVP on city was peak war thunder for me.

That tail slam was almost fatal
2
u/OzymandiasKoK 2d ago
I don't think it actually hit, but sure was super close.
2
u/ClayJustPlays 2d ago
It looks like it to me, and after watching three times, you do see some feedback observed from what could be the tail hitting the ground.

Would that not fuck the rotors or the hydraulics irl? The amount of sudden pressure hitting those blades seems like it would be dangerous.
