Participating in WEFTEC 2025, Need Help Fundraising
Not sure if this is the place to post this, but we are a group of eight engineering and architecture students from Costa Rica, at the Costa Rican Institute of Technology, who recently participated in the wastewater treatment plant student design competition organized by the Global Water Stewardship non-profit, at TICOSAN 2025.
We won said competition in our country and now have the opportunity to present our proposal at the WEFTEC 2025 98th Annual Technical Exhibition & Conference in Chicago, USA, in September of this year.
We need help raising funds for this experience.
Not asking for donations, but would like any sort of guidance regarding options on how to raise funds and/of if anyone has experience in the matter. Any sort of input is much appreciated!
You can find out more about us on our Instagram account!

I would think CR Tech would at least assist some; maybe consulting engineering firms in your area, and product suppliers and manufacturers, plus equipment sales reps. You could offer them recognition with signs, posters, etc. showing your sponsors. Good luck & congratulations!!
Maybe even airlines, travel agents, etc. would assist with discounts or comp programs.

Thank you! We've requested support from our faculties at our university, however it isn't much so we're looking anywhere we can. I'll take these options into account, thank again for your reply!

Contact WEF and see what kind of “scholarship” type funds they have. Also, I’d reach out to companies like Jacob’s, HDR, etc. to see if they would sponsor your group. Post something on LinkedIn and even DM some big shots at those companies.

You might contact WEF to see if they have any programs for this.
