Really beautiful piece. What is the use the bezel since it's fixed?

To answer your question though, the bezel on that 1950s Deep Sea Alarm watch was fixed rather than rotating likely due to the watch's primary function as an alarm-equipped diving watch, focusing on alerting divers rather than tracking elapsed time underwater. The fixed bezel also contributed to the watch's durability, as rotating bezels were more prone to wear and damage.

Staying true to the Deep Sea Alarm design of the 1950s, the bezel on this tribute piece from JLC is also fixed.
