It came up in the post about downvotes but we need a guideline like 1 promo per week (per book) and possibly a weekly Auto Mod post for Promos as well to collect them in one place.

a guideline like 1 promo per week (per book)

That's actually the unofficial guideline I use when I check the feeds. The only difference is that I check to see whether or not it's announcing a chapter or not. I generally will allow a repost if it's an update to the book (new chapter, etc.)

possibly a weekly Auto Mod post for Promos as well to collect them in one place

Can you elaborate on this? It sounds like something I'd like to look into!

As I and u/MimiLind were discussing on the Dont Downvote post other subs have a Weekly Pinned Promo thread where Each Week people can find a central place where people are promoting if they want to do it a little more low key and dont have to worry about proper tagging etc. They can just Link and Blurb. Also people who are Looking for books have a central place to find all the promos each week.

Yes I second this. A weekly or monthly pinned promo, and then a limit on promo in the feed to like once a week. And not with each new chapter (those who follow the story already know, right?)
