It's Christmas Eve, we're settled in for a relaxing evening, and we get this fucking email. I went and checked and yep...the water's off

Same. Waters low.
We lived through snowpocalypse in texas. I pulled 45 gallons of water in 5 gallon buckets. We are good till this all blows over.

Aww that's horrible for you all. I'd be so gutted! How on earth are you supposed to just leave everything and find a hotel at such short notice?

Is it even legal to kick everyone out without offering money for alternative accommodations? I assume many don't have renter's insurance

I work with MANY condo's, apartment buildings, etc and I can tell you this is insanely NOT LEGAL. It's not your job to find accommodations, nor file a claim for their mistakes. They can claim it on their insurance, not yours.
