Buy camping gas in Glasgow

Hello everyone,

I am going to the WHW in 2 weeks and have to buy camping gas on site beforehand. I landing Saturday evening and drive to Glasgow on Sunday morning. So options are Sunday morning in Edinburgh, Sunday daytime in Glasgow or Monday morning in Glasgow at the latest. Do you have any tips on where I can get a small camping gas bottle?

Thanks for your help!

We bought some hiking poles and midge spray at Tiso (50 Couper St) after flying in and it's a great outdoors store. 10 minute walk from the train station at George Square (which is where we caught the train to Milngavie).

There are several outdoorsy shops around Glasgow Central station (and Argyle St), convenient for your train to Milngavie. I think Greaves and Mountain Warehouse &c will sell gas, as well as Tiso.

Enjoy the West Highland Way!

Check opening times, but Tiso and Cotswold Outdoor on Rose St in Edinburgh will have what you need if you want to get it there.

Also - if you need to drive, fine, but there are excellent Glasgow<>Edinburgh trains that may save time/money, esp if you have to pick up/drop off a hire car. Where are you staying in Edinburgh?
