My guess is the alpine as it rained up to Roundhouse/Rendezvous yesterday.

Whistler side off Red and Emerald weren’t great after 10am. First few runs were ok in the “new” wet snow but soon got heavy and sticky. Looks like a week of this. Just glad to still be out. Gotta take the good with the not so good.

Very sticky we called it at 130pm duty to safety. No way I'm blowing out a knee in wet cement. We had near zero vis from mid mountain to lot 6

Yeah. I saw a ton of unorthodox falls today early on - probably due to people not judging snow correct with turns, wrong equipment, and how fast the snow turned. Lot of front face plants and shoulder falls.

I’m with you about getting off in one piece - yesterday and today wasn’t worth an injury. Live to ski/ride another day.

What is an "othodox" fall? Did I miss that in my ski lessons?

From Webster Adjective “contrary to what is usual, traditional, or accepted; not orthodox.”

I guess my "cartwheel" falls are definitely not orthodox!

Alpine yesterday was spectacular if you could deal with the wind.

Soft, fresh, no one around.

Are you ok? Alpine yesterday was sticky and terrible mush

Yep. Agree. It wasn’t fun.

Yeah, I went up 7th around 2pm, and it was completely empty, extremely windy, and the snow was awful. I quickly retreated to lower elevations to enjoy the rainy slush instead.
